BSNLEU at the verge of split?
After the forcible replacement of
Com.V.A.N. Nomboodri as General Secretary
of BSNLEU at Trivandrum all India conference,
the BSNLEU is heading for a split
vertically throughout the country including
their strongholds in Kerala & Bengal. Com.
Abhimanyu who was elected in place of Com.
Namboodri has consolidating is position in
the union by sidelining and removing the supporters
of Com. Namboori form post throughout
the country. This had a reflection in their
recently concluded Nagpur CWC meeting.
There was a big demonstration against Com.
Abhimanhu and his leadership. His undemocratic
methods were protested by his own
members by their mouth covering with black
ribbons. It is to be noted that the entire
Ahemedabad telephone district in Gujarat
circle had boycotted the Nagpur meeting. Recently
at Chennai a conference of BSNLEU
dissidents was held under the banner of
"Movement for protecting democracy in
BSNLEU". More than 250 delegates participated
in this and a printed booklet expressing
the omissions & commissions of Com.
Abhimanhu were circulated freely to all. They
also boycotted the meeting of Com.
Abhimanhu at Chennai on 27/11/2010. The
said conference of the dissidents also taken
a decision to host an all India dissidents meeting
at Chennai in December-2010. Many of
the speakers at the meeting expressed their
wish to defeat BSNLEU at the next membership
verification so that the autocratic and undemocratic
behaviour of Com. Abhimanhu is
checkmated. BSNLEU is cracking in
Rajasthan Circle also.

AUSTERITY MEASURES BEGIN BELATEDLY AND IN HALF
HEARTED WAY
Corporate office vide BSNL DO letter 16-54/20098B dtd. 3.11.2010 and 1-3/20107B
(BSNL) IFAS dt. 3-11-2010 has issued orders for curtailment of expenditures belatedly
and in half hearted way.
Why foreign trips have not been banned? Foreign trips are continuing.
Why no check on vehicles and diesel expenditures? Why Blackberry phones have
been provided to all Dy. GMs and other higher officers. But no bonus to staff. n
NFTE BSNL Circle union formed in NE-II Circle:
The workers in NE-II Telecom Circle themselves came forward and formed Circle
union under the young and dynamic leadership of Com. Kelhoungun Vizo. The Central
Headquarter has recognised the body. These Comrades are determined to make NFTE
BSNL victorious in the 5th verification. The Comrades of NE-II have been neglected and
discriminated very much by BSNLEU eventhough the employees voted it loyally in all the
four membership verification. n
NFTE will ensure Govt. to honour its Commitments of Sept., 2000
