CLUB HOUSE PRICES*Eley Sport: £5Eley Match: £9.5Lapua Centre-X: £9.5RWS Target : £7CCI Minimag: £9CCI Standard: £5RWS R10 air pistol: £9RWS R10 air rifle: £9*Prices are for packs of50, except for:• CCI Minimag, whichcomes in packs of 100• RWS R10, which comesin tins of 500 pelletsAmmunitionThere are two things to consider about your set up when target shooting:Accuracy – how close a shot is to its desired point of impact.Precision – how close together are a set of shots, that is, their ‘grouping’.Accuracy can be improved by changing your sights to bring shots into the bull.Precision, however, is a combination of the rifle and ammunition, as differentmakes/models of ammunition will give different sized groups through the samerifle. So, whilst you only have one rifle, you can easily select differentammunition. Use ‘better’ ammunition, your groups will contract and your scoreswill improve. Use ‘worse’ ammunition and you will never improve past a certainaverage score, as that is the best grouping the ammunition can provide. This allleaves aside ‘user error’ of course!The club currently stocks a number of different makes and types of ammunition.Any selection will be governed by getting the most precise ammunition for acombination of your rifle, current skill level and pocket. After all, a beginner wouldbe wasting their money if they used best quality match ammunition while not yetbeing skilful enough to benefit from the quality of the ammunition.Some makes of ammunition will work better in your rifle than others, across allskill levels, and this is reflected in the range of ammunition we stock. If you are abeginner, as your scores improve you may find that upgrading your ammunitionmay help your scores improve and more skilled shooters may also find the same.Of course, the only way to really find out is to buy a box and try it, but you may bepleasantly surprised how upgrading your ammunition can improve your scores.Eley SportA good cheap round for all disciplines.Eley MatchA very good target round, but notrecommended for LSR due to both thelower accuracy/precision of LSR riflesand the ammunition cost.Lapua Centre-XA very good target round, but notrecommended for LSR due to both thelower accuracy/precision of LSR riflesand the ammunition cost.RWS TargetA good target round, giving a mix ofbetter precision than cheaper roundsbut without the high cost of top targetammunition.CCI MinimagA good cheap round, but noisy andmore aimed at LSR.CCI StandardA good cheap round for all disciplines.RWS R10 air pelletsWe stock RWS pellets for both air rifleand pistol and feel it is a good allroundoption for both forms of air.Also, have a look at the link below,which shows the results of a large testof commonly used brands ofammunition.https://www.accurateshooter.com/guns-of-week/22lr-rimfire-ammocomparison-test/3
