Endowment gifts yield perpetual income to support students and
programs and offer donors the opportunity to remember or honor
someone special.
Martha Erbach has been a guiding force for the Parish Nursing
Program in Shenandoah University’s School of Continuing Education.
Her love for the multidisciplinary approach that forms the basis of
the program has helped lead the program to unparalleled success in
Virginia. Mrs. Erbach and her husband, Bill, discovered a way to
perpetuate their support of the Parish Nursing Program beyond
their lifetimes by starting an endowment funded through life
insurance. During their lifetimes, the premium payments are made
through annual gifting to the university on a policy owned by the
university.Through this method, the couple will realize their dream of
an interdenominational outreach program sustained through the
Martha Erbach Endowed Chair for Parish Nursing. The endowment
will specifically underwrite the cost to fund the leadership position of
director for the Parish Nursing Program. The gift of a life insurance
policy allows donors to tailor their giving to their resources and to
make a difference in the world at a level they never imagined
possible.
