Vocational Training Activities & Foundry Congresses<br />
As <strong>TÜDÖKSAD</strong>, to bring the young and dynamic labor force potential to the industry,<br />
we have focused on vocational training activities in the recent period. Since 2015, under<br />
the name of Tüdöksad Academy, we have been organizing monthly training activities<br />
and annual foundry congresses (National & International) which aims to improve the<br />
knowledge of foundrymen and attract young people. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic<br />
that emerged at the beginning of 2020 and the ongoing process, we have been carrying<br />
out our vocational training activities through online platforms since March 2020.<br />
The last edition of Turkish National Foundry Congress has been held successfully on<br />
30th November - 1st December 2019 in Izmir Swissotel with more than 500 participants.<br />
Under the motto “Sustainable Innovation in the Foundry Industry”, in total, 40<br />
oral presentations were performed in 6 sessions and 2 panels (Youth & Additive Manufacturing)<br />
during the Congress, as well as with the poster session.<br />
11th International Foundry Congress “Let’s Talk The Future of<br />
Casting”<br />
We are looking forward to welcome foundrymen from all over the world in the 11th<br />
International Foundry Congress, to be held between 6 - 8 October 2022, concurrently<br />
with Ankiros / Turkcast fairs. Congress Programme is going to be announced in the<br />
following days through the social media channels and web page. The International<br />
Foundry Congress is a globally known and prestigious technical event that constitutes<br />
a perfect occasion for exchanging knowledge and experiences, the newest achievements<br />
and innovations. As Turkish Foundry Association, our aim is to provide a platform<br />
that casting producers, researchers, R&D centers, students, customers and suppliers<br />
would be in communication on an international scale. In addition, the online education<br />
platform “Dokumhane.net”, which we have been directing the content production and<br />
promotional activities since the beginning of 2019, offers free educational materials<br />
and short interviews with young metal casters that presents the foundry industry to the<br />
students interested in casting. We plan to continue these activities in the coming period.<br />
