ceremonies will take place on
Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. at Matondi
Square at the intersection of
Holliston and Village Streets.
“We encourage all Medway
residents to attend this ceremony
to honor the men and women
who have served our great nation
and those still active,” says
Richard A. Parrella of the Med-
Afghanistan, he commanded
the international coalition task
force countering the IED threat
Veterans Day was first called “Armistice Day” and it was
established after World War I to remember the “war to end all
wars,” and it was pegged to the time that a cease-fire, or armistice,
occurred in Europe on November 11, 1918. It has been
an American tradition to honor or military on the traditional
time of 11:11 a.m. on November 11. Source: https://constitutioncenter.org/
