We love a bit of Michael Bublé in the
Wealden Times offices, especially his
Christmas album. When the Midwinter Fair
marquees go up. When our wonderful
exhibitors unpack their vans and dress their
stalls with lots of exciting new products.
And then on that first morning of the
fair, when we open our doors and it’s
showtime for the team. That’s the moment
we hear Bublé, and we feel that “it’s
beginning to look a lot like Christmas”.
This fair takes a year to plan – finding
interesting and innovative new exhibitors,
rebooking your favourites, improving
layouts, tasting food, and yes, sampling
a few drinks too – but it’s the three show
days, the culmination of our year’s work,
that we love the most. We hope you enjoy
the fair as much we do. If there’s anything
we can do to make your day even better,
please just ask any of us and our team of
helpers dressed in pink. Directions, carrying
bags to your car, finding lost husbands –
whatever you need, we’re here to help.
Once you’ve shopped ‘til you drop, we hope
you’ll stay for coffee, lunch, or a festive glass
of fizz. Whilst you enjoy some delicious
delights from our street food vendors, take
a moment to listen to some festive songs
from the finest local school choirs.
