Community Supporting Cocotree Kids<br />
This fall has seen a consistent<br />
flow of donations to the Cocotree<br />
Kids organization.<br />
The organization is a nonprofit<br />
that distributes new underwear to<br />
at-risk youth in Massachusetts.<br />
In just one week in November,<br />
the group distributed 2,115 pairs<br />
of underwear to kids facing financial<br />
hardship, displacement, and<br />
homelessness. That’s a full week’s<br />
worth of underwear for over 300<br />
children!<br />
Early in November, Gardengate<br />
Academy hosted an underwear<br />
drive. The school collected<br />
560 pairs of underwear. The<br />
Gardengate kiddos even colored<br />
“thank you” undies to their parents<br />
for donating. This drive provided<br />
80 kids with a week’s worth<br />
of new underwear!<br />
Cocotree Kids also attended<br />
the Halloween party hosted by<br />
<strong>Natick</strong> Recreation and Parks.<br />
Volunteers passed out candy,<br />
read Creepy Pair of Underwear,<br />
and had kids make their own pair<br />
of creepy underpants—to bring<br />
attention to the new underwear<br />
they provide to underserved kids<br />
in Massachusetts.<br />
