Flush Cut Distal End Cutter<br />

The flush cut feature of this instrument allows the<br />

archwire to be cut flush at the distal end of the<br />

buccal tube eliminating the possibility of patient<br />

discomfort resulting from archwire protrusion. All<br />

Ixion distal end cutters feature safety hold.<br />

Minimum Cutting Capacity:<br />

archwires from .016” (.41mm)<br />

Maximum Cutting Capacity:<br />

archwires up to .021” x .025” (.55 x .64mm)<br />

Using Flush Cut Distal End.<br />

Whenever an adjustment kit is opened and there’s an Ixion distal end cutter<br />

on it, the nurses will comment ‘you’ve got a good one there!’ When using the<br />

Ixion distal end cutters in particular, I can confidently use them without the<br />

risk of de-bonding the molar tubes.<br />
