EDITORIAL–BEWEGTE ZEITEN!!!

Liebe Fashionistas,

die von vielen erhoffte „Normalisierung“ im Handel ist nicht eingetreten. Wie auch,

wenn sich derzeit unser gesamtes Energie- und Wirtschaftssystem im Wandel befindet

und Russland unter der politischen Führung Putins völkerrechtswidrig Krieg in

Europa führt. All diese Dinge beeinflussen auch die Modewelt. Die Zeiten haben sich

geändert und sowohl Einzelhändler als auch Hersteller müssen sich vielen Komplexen

Herausforderungen stellen.

Lieferketten: Mittlerweile haben sich, schneller als erwartet, die meisten Lieferketten

wieder halbwegs normalisiert. Allerdings ist vor allem bei Lieferungen aus China

aufgrund der dortigen Corona Situation Vorsicht geboten. Lieferketten innerhalb der

EU funktionieren problemlos.

Steigende Energiekosten und steigende Inflationsrate: Endverbraucher leiden unter

den stark gestiegenen Energie- und Lebensunterhaltskosten. Dies zwingt viele

Menschen mittleren Einkommens Preise stärker zu vergleichen und nicht unbedingt

notwendige Anschaffungen zu verschieben. Gerade bei Marken, die bei Online und in

Outlet Centern stark vertreten sind, sinkt die Gewinnspanne für den Händler deutlich.

Einige Hersteller bieten ihre Produkte Online im Sale zum Händler Einkaufspreis (!) an.

Kaufverhalten: Viele Menschen überdenken ihr Kaufverhalten. Hierbei spielen

Umweltbewusstsein, Qualität und Nachhaltigkeit eine wesentliche Rolle. Produkte aus

China werden mittlerweile auch von vielen Menschen sehr kritisch wahrgenommen.

Wie kann der Handel bei all diesen Herausforderungen bestehen? Die Antwort hierauf

ist vielschichtig. Nur mit Zuversicht und Ausdauer wird man hier nichts erreichen. Das

Wichtigste ist jedoch überall gleich:

KNOW YOUR CLIENTS !!!

Die Kunst seine eigenen Kunden zu verstehen und sich entsprechend aufzustellen ist

eine wichtige Erfolgsformel. Wer überwiegend Kundschaft mit Interesse an Premium

und Luxus Produkten hat, sollte, beispielsweise, sein Augenmerk verstärkt auf „Made

in Europe“ legen. Naturstoffe, Nachhaltigkeit und Langlebigkeit von Gütern sollten bei

der Auswahl von Produkten eine wichtige Rolle spielen.

Eine weitere wichtige Erfolgsformel ist Kontinuität und Beratungsqualität. Sowohl

zwischen Herstellern, Agenturen und dem Handel, wie auch zwischen Handel

und Endverbrauchern ist ein partnerschaftlicher, fairer Umgang und eine hohe

Beratungsqualität wichtig. Gemeinsam Lösungen finden. Dies gilt nicht nur für den

Modeberater im Gespräch mit seinem Kunden, sondern auch für den Herstellern, oder

die Agentur im Gespräch mit dem Handel.

Wir blicken optimistisch in die Zukunft, da wir aus vielen Gesprächen mit Herstellern,

Agenturen und Modehäusern Wissen, das die im International Fashion Guide

vertretenen Premium Hersteller und Agenturen erstklassige Produkte anbieten und

mit hoher Beratungsqualität ihre Kunden fair beraten.

EDITORIAL–MOVING TIMES!!!

Dear Fashionistas,

The “normalization” in trade hoped for by many has not happened. How could it be, when

our entire energy and economic system is currently in transition and Russia, under Putin’s

political leadership, is waging war in Europe in violation of international law. All these things

also influence the fashion world. Times have changed and both retailers and manufacturers

have to face many complex challenges.

Supply chains: In the meantime, most supply chains have returned to normal more quickly

than expected. However, caution is advised, especially with deliveries from China due to the

Corona situation there. Supply chains within the EU are functioning smoothly.

Rising energy costs and inflation: End consumers are suffering from the sharp increase in

energy and living costs. This forces many middle-income people to compare prices more

and postpone non-essential purchases. Especially for brands that are strongly represented

online and in outlet centers, the profit margin for the retailer drops significantly. Some

manufacturers offer their products online in sales at the retailer’s purchase price (!).

buying behavior: Many people are rethinking their buying behavior. Environmental

awareness, quality and sustainability play an important role here. Products from China are

now also perceived very critically by many people.

How can retail survive in the face of all these challenges? The answer to this is complex.

Nothing will be achieved here with confidence and perseverance alone. But the most

important thing is the same everywhere:

KNOW YOUR CLIENTS !!!

The art of understanding one’s own clients and positioning oneself accordingly is an

important formula for success. If you have a clientele that is mainly interested in premium

and luxury products, you should, for example, pay more attention to “Made in Europe”.

Natural materials, sustainability and durability of goods should play an important role in the

selection of products.

Another important formula for success is continuity and quality of advice. Both between

manufacturers, agencies and the trade, as well as between the trade and end consumers, fair

dealings in partnership and a high quality of advice are important. Finding solutions together.

This applies not only to the fashion advisor in conversation with his customer, but also to the

manufacturer or the agency in conversation with the trade.

We are optimistic about the future because we know from many conversations with

manufacturers, agencies and fashion houses that the premium manufacturers and agencies

represented in the International Fashion Guide offer first-class products and provide their

customers with fair advice of a high quality.

Düsseldorfer Fashion Days Januar 2023

Fragen an Angelika Firnrohr — Geschäftsführerin des Vereins

Fashion Net Düsseldorf e.V.

Frau Firnrohr, als Geschäftsführerin des Fashion Net Düsseldorf, haben Sie in den

vergangenen Jahren in Düsseldorf vieles bewegt. Die Düsseldorfer Fashion Days sind

unverändert Deutschlands größte Orderrunde.

Wie sehen Sie zukünftig den Standort Düsseldorf im internationalen Vergleich? Wo kann

man sich noch verbessern, wo ist man „Vorreiter“?

Düsseldorf sehe ich weiterhin als den Orderstandort und die Modemetropole Deutschlands.

In keiner Stadt gibt es mit dieser hohen Zentralität so viele Showrooms, die unterschiedliche

Brands und Segmente ganzjährig zur Order anbieten. Die große Nachfrage während der DFD

nach Messeflächen wie beispielsweise bei der Supreme sowie nach temporären Showrooms

auf der Kaiserswerther Straße oder den Hallen 29/30 in Derendorf, aber auch wegweisende

Neuzugänge in der Messelandschaft mit der NEONYT in den Böhlerwerken zeigen, dass

Düsseldorf zum Ordern nach wie vor der „Place to be“ ist.

Wir werden gemeinsam mit der Stadt Düsseldorf weiterhin das Service-Angebot für die

nationalen und internationalen Einkäufer:innen durch unterschiedliche Maßnahmen und

Events ausbauen. Wo in Deutschland gibt es eine vergleichbare Party wie im Sommer

beim Fashion Net Get Together auf den Rheinterrassen, wo sich 1000 Modebegeisterte aus

verschiedenen Bereichen zum Netzwerken und feiern getroffen haben? Die Resonanz auf

dieses gelungene Networking-Event war riesig und wird im Sommer 2023 wiederholt.

Mit unserem Verein Fashion Net, der unabhängig ohne wirtschaftliche Interessen alle

Akteur:innen am Standort Düsseldorf bündelt und zusammenführt, sind wir Vorreiter und

einzigartig, denn einen solchen Verein hat sonst keine Orderstadt in Deutschland. In den

sechs Jahren meiner Geschäftsführertätigkeit wurde während der Pandemie auch der neue

Markenname DFD – Düsseldorf Fashion Days etabliert.

Unter der aktuellen Situation (Krieg in der Ukraine, steigende Inflationszahlen,

Auswirkungen der Corona Pandemie) hat vor allem die Modebranche stark gelitten.

Wie wirkt sich das in den kommenden Jahren auf die Modebranche aus? Welche

Veränderungen wird es geben?

Das werden die nächsten Ordertage zeigen. Der Krieg in der Ukraine war leider auch schon

im Juli 22 Thema und hat im Zusammenhang mit dem Russland Embargo, die Marken

unterschiedlich getroffen. Im mittleren Segment ist der Osteuropäische Anteil groß, diese

Marke haben in der Order prozentual am meisten verloren. Im Luxussegment dagegen ist

dieser Anteil wesentlich geringer.

Ganz anders sieht es bei der Verteuerung durch die Lieferketten und Beschaffungen aus.

Da müssen alle die Eckpreislagen im mittleren Segment im Auge haben. Dazu kommt, dass in

diesem Segment die Inflationsangst gepaart mit den steigenden Lebenshaltungskosten für

Umsatzeinbußen mit einzubeziehen sind. Außerdem macht die unstetige Situation rund um

Galerie Kaufhof vielen Umsatzsorgen.

Düsseldorf nachhaltig gestaltet und immer wieder kreative Impulse gesetzt.

Davon wiederum ausgenommen ist das Luxussegment, das sich nach wie vor nicht über

Nachfragemangel beschwert.

Der Einzelhandel klagt unter starkem Preisdruck? Wie sollte sich der Einzelhandel künftig

positionieren?

Darüber wird viel drüber diskutiert. Wenn ich das vergangene Weihnachtsgeschäft

rückwirkend betrachte, waren die Städte voll. Viele Kund:innen schätzen gerade zu dieser

Zeit das Stadterlebnis und das Shoppen im Geschäft. Nicht nur die Individualität der

Produkte sind heutzutage im Retail-Geschäft ausschlaggebend, sondern auch der Ort, an

dem sie präsentiert, getestet und gekauft werden – er soll den Markenkern widerspiegeln,

Vertrauen ausstrahlen und den markenaffinen Kund*innen ein emotionales Erlebnis bieten.

Erfolgreiche Marken schaffen es mit der richtigen

Inszenierung also nicht nur, sich von der Konkurrenz

zu differenzieren, sondern lösen auch Faszination

in der Zielgruppe aus. Allerdings ist dies natürlich

immer einfacher geschrieben als umgesetzt…

Ja so ist es, bin seit der Gründung des Fashion Net

im Jahr 2009 als Vorstand aktiv und habe sechs

Jahre die Position als Geschäftsführerin mit sehr

viel Leidenschaft ausgeübt. Jetzt ist es an der Zeit,

neue Wege zu gehen. Dem Verein bleibe ich als

Ehrenmitglied weiterhin treu und freue mich Ende

Januar eine wunderbare Nachfolgerin präsentieren

zu können, die ich einarbeite und gerne mit Rat und

Tat zur Seite stehe.

Philosophy

OUR PRODUCTS

At the core of Camicissima business are its classic shirts, as well as

models that have a cooler and more fashionable style.

The classic collection conveys the spirit of Italian shirt manufacturing:

essential and elegant, with white, blue or soft-shaded plain or softstriped

shirts, which are always discrete.

All Camicissima shirts can be customized right there in its stores, by

embroidering the customer’s initials in just 6 minutes.

THE THREAD OF HISTORY...

This story begins with the perseverance, tenacity and dedication

of one man, Sir Giovanni Candido, who became a successful

manufacturer in the first half of 1900.

In 1931, he founded ‘FENICIA’, a trusted tailor and a clear example of

how entrepreneurial skills and a passion for one’s own work can yield

great and visible benefits to a company – one that was already feeling

the early symptoms of the approaching second great war.

The real turning point, however, came in the 1960s, when Sir Giovanni

Candido’s son, Gaspare, took on both production management and

the introduction of the ‘just in time’ production method.

From that moment on, what had once been a small boutique in Italy

became a springboard for expansion: Fenicia, the company, turned

into a business recognisable on an international scale. Such was its

success that, in 1967, Sir Giovanni Candido was presented with his

first Gold Mercury award, given only to those businesses that have

demonstrated true production and economic growth.

Now, with Fabio and Sergio Candido, the third generation of the

family, Fenicia has expanded further into retail, launching its wellknown

brand Camicissima, which offers all of its customers a unique

look and shirts of an unrivalled sartorial elegance; these remain the

core of its business, continuing the excellence and tradition begun by

the company’s founder.

Princess goes Hollywood sets continually surprising trends

with every fashion collection. High quality cashmere and

exceptional yarns are innovatively processed with a passion

Fancy and inspiring designs carry conviction in both

knitwear and shirts. The fine quality silk blouses combined

with cashmere garments make casual companions for

all seasons. Trendy shirts decorated with cute motifs

round off the collection. Well-known comic characters are

transformed into intarsia patterns for soft and cosy knits,

T-shirts. Since 2006, the Princess Goes Hollywood team

has been based in a small countryside location in the middle

of Switzerland. Here the adorable trademark frog, which

We are an ecological children’s fashion brand that produces

in Spain. In addition to our online shop, we sell our designs

in the most important multi-brand children’s clothing shops

in the world. Twin & Chic was born almost at the same time

as my twins, as a result of my failed search to find matching

looks for her twins from sustainable materials that respect

their skin and nature. It was then when I discovered this

unmet need of many mothers and fathers and I created Twin

& Chic, a slow children’s fashion company specialising in

“MICAM of OZ”: follow the emerald brick road

to sustainability

MICAM Milano presents the third fairy-tale in the #micamtales project:

the classic film of the musical The Wizard of Oz inspires the International

Footwear Fair’s new image

MICAM Milano, the International Footwear Fair scheduled for the 19th through the

22nd of February 2023 at Fiera Milano Rho, is ready to amaze again with its new

advertising campaign.

The #micamtales project continues with a third and final chapter under the creative

direction of MM Company x Laureri Associates. After “MICAM in Wonderland” and

“MICAM Glass Slipper”, here comes the wonderful “MICAM of OZ”: the voyage of a

courageous young girl toward the emblematic Emerald Castle, accompanied by two

fellow travellers who are rather picturesque, to say the least. A symbolic voyage

representing footwear companies’ progress along the road to sustainability.

MICAM chose this third fairy-tale for its profound meaning, in which self-respect, the

ability to believe in yourself and your abilities, is an essential key to success.

According to MICAM and Assocalzaturifici Chair Giovanna Ceolini, “This fairytale can be

read as a metaphor of life in business, made up of daily challenges, both large and

small, to be overcome and goals to be achieved. Now more than ever, life in the world

of business is not easy: you have to keep up to date all the time, focusing on major

issues such as sustainability, an essential key today, with great determination and

ethical spirit”.

The story accompanies visitors with a contemporary, sometimes ironic take on key

moments in the story. The campaign photos were taken by Fabrizio Scarpa, while the

short film is directed by Giuseppe Cardaci.

In February 2023 our heroine finds herself in a field of poppies, where she loses her

little dog. As she searches, she happens to come across a super-chic scarecrow and a

couple of strange objects: an oil can and a hat... both made of tin! Only with the aid of

an engaging sidekick can our heroine manage to get to the Emerald Castle along the

Emerald Road.

bis 14. Februar 2023 in der Olympia London stattfindet,

wird das Thema Nachhaltigkeit mit der Einführung

von Purely Sustainable in den Vordergrund rücken,

einem speziellen Ausstellungsbereich, der eine

sorgfältig ausgewählte Auswahl bewusster Aussteller präsentiert, die bei der Bewältigung

ihrer ökologischen und sozialen Auswirkungen führend sind.

Purely Sustainable ist einzigartig auf der Pure London und nutzt die Ziele für nachhaltige

Entwicklung (SDGs) der Vereinten Nationen, um die Auswirkungen aller Aussteller zu

bewerten, die nachweisen müssen, dass sie bestimmte Schlüsselthemen angehen, um in der

Destination ausstellen zu dürfen.

2018 wurde auf der Pure London Power of One® ins Leben gerufen, eine Initiative, die

Einzelhändler und Lieferanten dazu befähigen soll, kleine Schritte zur Veränderung der

Auswirkungen der Mode zu unternehmen. Die Pure London hat diese Initiative weiterentwickelt,

indem sie die Aussteller über die Herausforderungen der Branche und deren Bewältigung

informiert, ein reichhaltiges Programm mit fachkundigen Rednern zusammengestellt hat, um

die Themen in lebhaften Diskussionen zu erörtern, und praktische Schritte unternommen hat,

um eine nachhaltigere Veranstaltung zu werden.

Zu den Highlights der Veranstaltung gehören Camper, FIKA,

Denim Star®, Anema, Les âmes d‘Ida, Ochre Cashmere,

Critically Endangered und Nila Rubia.

Gloria Sandrucci, Event-Direktorin bei Pure London, sagt:

Nila Rubia ist eine Marke mit modischem Einfluss, die

von dem Wunsch geleitet wird, traditionelle Methoden

• Hersteller für Kindermode sucht Handelsvertreter / Agentur für den

Vertrieb ihrer Kollektion in Deutschland und den Benelux Staaten.

• Distributor von Premium Marken sucht Handelsvertreter / Agentur für den

Vertrieb mehrerer Kollektionen (Damen, Herren und Schuhbereich) in

Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz.
