The

BARRAGEM DA QUEIMADELA

River, is an excellent leisure area with conditions for practising non-polluting

water sports. There is also a tiny island by a waterfall where you can cool off.

ALDEIA DO PONTIDO

Overlooking the Vizela River, this small village-style complex is just a short

walk from Queimadela Dam. Surrounded by nature, Aldeia do Pontido offers

quiet accommodation in stone villages.

The

JARDIM DO CALVÁRIO

most important public garden in the city, it was formally inaugurated as

a romantic garden in 1892. Today, the garden continues to be a place for entertainment,

resting, socializing, and dating, a privileged spot from where you

can see heavenly landscapes.

JUSTIÇA DE FAFE

The Justice of Fafe is one of the city’s major referential symbols, although

controversial. For many, it is the true ex-libris of Fafe. As such, there could not

be without a monument evoking this tradition, which travels from city to city,

associated with the name of Fafe and what happens here.

This

TEATRO CINEMA

is one of the main reasons for architectural interest in the city of Fafe,

being an important cultural landmark. It is considered one of the best theatres

in the north of the country, influenced by Brazilian architecture.

CASA DO PENEDO

Its name came from how it was built - with four large boulders that serve

as the house’s foundation, walls and ceiling. The owners initially used the

residence as a holiday destination. Today Casa de Penedo is a small museum

of relics and photographs from the house’s history.

Every

RALLY DE PORTUGAL

year Fafe receives the rally of Portugal, gathering crowds from all over
