Yamunotri
Yamunotri is a Hindu pilgrimage site located
in the Uttarakhand state of India. It is one of
the four sites in the Char Dham pilgrimage
circuit, which is considered to be one of the
holiest Hindu pilgrimages in India. Yamunotri
is situated in the Garhwal region of the
Himalayas and is the source of the River
Yamuna, one of the most sacred rivers in
Hinduism. The Yamunotri Temple, dedicated
to the goddess Yamuna, is located near the
source of the river and is a major attraction
for pilgrims visiting the town. The town and
its surrounding areas offer scenic views of
the Himalayas and are also popular with
trekkers and adventure enthusiasts.
