Fraunhofer FOKUS develops efficient,<br />
scalable and applic<strong>at</strong>ion-optimized<br />
communic<strong>at</strong>ion technologies and<br />
architectures for the digital world. We provide<br />
the necessary expertise, the communic<strong>at</strong>ions<br />
infrastructure in form of modular software<br />
tools and flexible technology testbeds<br />
and enable the realiz<strong>at</strong>ion of portable<br />
demonstr<strong>at</strong>ors and realistic reviews of<br />
the l<strong>at</strong>est concepts and technologies. Our<br />
central research topics include campus and<br />
nomadic networks, real-time communic<strong>at</strong>ion,<br />
integr<strong>at</strong>ion of s<strong>at</strong>ellite technology, 5 G<br />
testbeds and the evolution towards 6 G. Our<br />
main solution is the Open5GCore: a flexible<br />
configurable, 3GPP compliant carrier grade<br />
core network for heterogeneous access<br />
