Situated in South Auckland,
Manurewa is recognised as one
of the most multicultural suburbs
in New Zealand with this high
school playing an important role
in the area's rich history laying the
foundation for over 2100 students
from a ‘beautiful mix of more than
50 nationalities.’
The Solution
Manurewa High School boasts
many vocational programmes
for the students some of
which includes Hospitality and
Catering. In 2021 the Board of
Trustees introduced a lunch
programme where Year 12 and
Year 13 students are trained while
preparing healthy and nutritious
meals for their fellow high school
students. Reward Hospitality
was instrumental in upgrading
the school’s commercial kitchen
with adequate equipment and
accessories to learn while
working in a professional
commercial environment.
Manurewa High School has
a commercial kitchen for
training and catering.
This kitchen includes two
Rational Combi Ovens,
two iVario Cooking Centres,
blast chillers, Cambro hot
boxes and the utensils
required to produce two
thousand meals a day.
