When asked why Dr. Zacharias chose Orthopaedics, he replied, “the great thing about
orthopaedic sports medicine is the opportunity to take care of a diverse patient population
spanning all ages and activity levels. I really enjoy getting to know my patients since with
so many treatment options available and continuing to expand, it is important for me to
know what their lifestyle activity expectations are. I find the preservation component of
sports medicine especially rewarding. As important as it is to get the patient back to their
previous activity level, it is equally important to make sure we are doing the right thing to
preserve their functions for years to come.” Dr. Zacharias has a strong interest in research,
learning new surgical techniques, and loves what he does to help patients in the near
future and going forward! In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family,
staying active, golfing, wakeboarding and water skiing!
