Covid-19 hit everyone hard and we were so fortunate to be able to trade through it and to welcome more customers; we started to deliver locally to those who were unable to get to us and had a hugely positive response not only to the quality of our meat compared to that of the supermarket, but also to the idea of more localised shopping - 'the way Mum & Nan used to shop' became a frequent saying! This is us, Jason & Diane Bradley, the faces behind the name and although behind the scenes much of the time, we’re always working hard to ensure that your experience of our shop leaves you eager to return. After running Beamans in LowTown Bridgnorth for over 20 years, we had often talked about opening another shop and the opportunity to make Shrewsbury our base came in 2018 when the property on London Road became vacant. It was a huge project to kit out such a vast space and we took time to make sure it was just what we wanted. We were able to open our doors in March 2019 and set about reintroducing local shopping to the community. Open from 8am til 5pm Monday - Saturday, we wanted to make sure that we'd be accessible to everyone including those who enjoy shopping locally either on their way to or from work rather than having to always visit a supermarket. The business expanded in May 2022 when we opened our coffee lounge on the mezzanine level of the shop. Open 9am til 3pm Tuesday to Saturday, the coffee lounge has proven to be a real asset to the local community with it’s Espresso machine and relaxed friendly vibe, we’re also dogfriendly in this area of the shop which you and your 4-legged friends can access via the car park as opposed to through the shop itself. We’ve got such a great team here who are passionate about delivering not only first- class produce, but also first-class service. We offer a traditional meat counter, a very busy takeaway counter serving hot and cold sandwiches and are proud suppliers to a number of pubs, restaurants and care homes, we also make our own pies, sausages, burgers, scotch eggs and ready-meals here on site so you can be assured of our quality. We look forward to serving you in the future and thank you for your continued support. One of our greatest passions is supporting local and the shop now showcases some of Shropshire's finest suppliers and we're always on the lookout for more.
