Steven Spielberg planned to release a movie about Lincoln in 2009 to commemorate the
bicentennial of the President’s birth. Knowing the interest that usually surrounds the release of a
Spielberg movie, I decided to preach a series of educational lessons on Lincoln while momentum
was building for Spielberg’s movie. By 2010, no movie had been produced (It arrived in 2012), but
eight Lincoln lessons had been delivered. They comprise the bulk of this book. Many lessons can
be learned from Lincoln. I enjoyed studying his spiritual life, and pray this book will bless you.
