ROBOTICS
S P H 3 U 0 - L O U I S & L E O
WHAT IS ROBOTICS?
L O U I S
Engineering's field of robotics deals with the creation, design, production, and use of
robots.
Goal of the field of robotics is to develop smart machines that can help people in a
variety of ways.
They have become a vital part of society, providing the opportunity to improve the
quality of life and reduce labour costs.

INDUSTRIAL
ROBOTS
Used in manufacturing and assembly
lines to perform repetitive tasks, such
as welding, painting, and packaging
These robots use sensors and -
programming to perform tasks with
precision and speed, reducing the
need for human labour.

Example: ABB IRB 4600.

Robots are becoming more popular in homes, helping with
chores like vacuuming, cleaning, and providing security in
addition to their useful usage in factories and warehouses.
It has been argued that integrating robots into daily life
can speed up tasks, improve safety, and save time.
Example: iRobot Roomba

AUTONOMOUS
ROBOTS
Robots that can operate autonomously
are those that do so without human
supervision.
They are employed in a variety of
contexts, including transportation.
Robotics are being employed in the
transportation industry to increase
efficiency and safety.
Example: Self Driving Car
CONNECTIONS
Page 06
In terms of physics, robotics is heavily dependent on the principles
of forces and energy.
Robotics requires a power source, such as electricity, to provide
the energy required to move and operate.
Robotics also requires knowledge of mechanics and dynamics,
including the principles of torque and force, to create movement
and control.
Robotics also requires knowledge of thermal physics, as
overheating can cause damage to the robot's components.

+There are several working environment that
dealt with many risk and danger, robots are
the solution to minimize those risk

robot application in extreme condition or

Space exploration
The environment which astronauts
have to work in is sometimes harsh
and dangerous, especially when they
are in outer space, they get exposed
to cosmic rays. Robots have more
capabilities than humans to do those
jobs since we do not have to worry
about their biological condition.
