NEIL JENSEN AND
TREVOR SMITH
PLACE 2ND IN HYROX HONG KONG
In a recent display of incredible
athleticism and teamwork, our very
own Chairman, Neil Jensen, and his
teammate, Trevor Smith, have made
the Hong Kong Football Club proud
with their outstanding performance at
the HYROX Hong Kong fitness race in
May 2023.
Competing in the age 50-59 category,
the dynamic duo managed to secure
an impressive 2nd place, completing
the race in just 1 hour, 30 minutes, and
34 seconds. For those unfamiliar with
HYROX, it is a competition that tests
overall fitness, consisting of a 1km
run followed by 1 functional workout,
repeated 8 times for a total of 8km run
and 8 functional workouts.
Neil and Trevor's achievement goes
beyond the realms of sports as they
also used their accomplishment to raise
money to support the SJP Foundation
which supports local charities in Hong
Kong. Their dedication to both sports
and support in local charity is truly
inspiring and a shining example of how
individuals can make a positive impact
in their community through sports.
JAN SOULEYMAN
PLACE 1ST
Jan Souleyman, a member of the
HKFC Soccer Section, also participated
in HYROX Hong Kong. Jan’s
performance was outstanding, as
he finished in 3rd place in the Open
Category and 1st place in the age 50-
54 category. He completed the race
in a time of 1 hour, 4 minutes, and 25
seconds, demonstrating his impressive
fitness level!
