DAY 43 T H E H O L Y S P I R I T I S C A L L E D T H E S P I R I T O F G R A C E . Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? Hebrews 10:28-29 NIV Under the Old covenant judgement for breaking the law was harsh indeed. There was, and is and never will be a single person that can perfectly keep the commands of the old covenant . Only Jesus did and His blood saves all of us who were condemned by the righteous and holy requirements of the old covenant. The new covenant is the covenant of grace. It's the covenant whereby we receive forgiveness of sin and all the promises and blessings of our salvation because of the finish work of Jesus Christ on the cross. This has been God's plan all along - even before creation. His plan was that fallen man would be saved by the blood of His son as an act of grace. Anyone who rejects this truth remains dead in their sin and will perish in their old life or will perish in their futile attempts to still remain and keep the old covenant. They are in truth rejecting the Grace of God and in so doing insulting the Holy Spirit, who is called the Spirit of grace. This is His most beautiful title - The Spirit of Grace. As the Spirit of grace the Holy Spirit applies the blood and the grace of Jesus to our lives. This means He restores us completely so that we can live the most amazing lives. He restores us personally from the affects and ravages of sin and pain and all trauma we might have experienced. He restores our minds, emotions, paradigms and sense of worth. He does a deep and thorough work in us. He gives us a plan, hope and a future. He fills our lives with the grace of God,- unearned, unmerited favor - so that you can enjoy your best life now, because the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Grace.
Prayer: Thank you Holy Spirit that I can know you as the Spirit of Grace.
