Both slopes are exclusively equipped with
natural snow.
The Champlève cross-country track is a
3,343 km loop, measuring 4 meters in width
and sits at an altitude of 1,850 meters above
sea level. It is located on the road leading to
the picturesque Cheneil basin, near a wellequipped
picnic area. Services such as
ticket sales and equipment rental are
handled by the adjacent "Champlève" bar.
The Breuil-Cervinia cross-country track, at
2014 meters above sea level, spans 5.5 km
with a 4-meter width. Access the ticket
office and ski rentals via the nearby Club
House del Golf.
Snow conditions are monitored by webcam
on the Valle d’Aosta Region website.
Ski Lifts & Gondolas
Transport in the Cervinia ski resort is up to
date and there are modern lift facilities
which means you don’t have to worry about
troublesome queues. Seven lifts cater to 21
km of piste and for beginners and
intermediate skiers there are 28 lifts on the
Italian side which extend down towards
Valtournenche at 1524 m. A gondola and
cable car will take you up from Cervinia to
Plan Maison and from Plan Maison there are
numerous chairs and a gondola that will
take you up to Plateau Rosa.
During your stay you may wish to go on a
sunny day trip to Zermatt, Switzerland,
which is possible. Invest in a one day
supplement to the local lift pass.
Ski down the The Odul Gletscher to
Trockener Steg or return to Cervinia on the
8 km classic Ventina run.
