Environment and consumer protection are firmly
anchored in our company philosophy – long before this
issue became trendy. For many years, our furniture has
been manufactured to an environmentally conscious
level that goes far beyond the legal requirements.
As early as 1993, hülsta was entitled to label products
with the Blue Angel. Since 1996, the entire modular
unit range and all base frames carry the environmental
sign for “low-emission products made from wood and
wood materials“.

RESPONSIBILITY.
All materials and production processes are selected by
experienced experts in line with stringent criteria.
Veneers and solid woods come from sustainable
sources, and we deliberately avoid using tropical
woods. Our respect for nature is also reflected in our
processing. We exclusively use environment-friendly
lacquers and adhesives. Our strictly controlled
emission values are always far below the legal limits
and ensure a good room climate.
Within the context of the rapidly progressing global
climate change and its respective massive impact on
humankind and nature, hülsta has been a member of
the Alliance for Development and Climate since 2018
and its production is climate-neutral.
As a family business, we take our special responsibility
to produce sustainable and environment-friendly
interiors very seriously. We therefore have our own
experts, who constantly work, in collaboration with
independent institutes, on innovative and even more
