THE AMERICAN RELICS Release New Single “We’ve
Got To Start It All Again” Now
Available Worldwide
Following the viral success of “My Impala”, and “The
Eyes of 1969”, THE
AMERICAN RELICS have just released their new
single “We’ve Got To Start It All
Again” which is available worldwide via Tribeca
Records.
THE AMERICAN RELICS are a new band comprised of
world-class musicians that
have come together to share in the experience of
particular related musical
concepts, which are: to bring by way of original
music the sounds and feel of not
only wonderful music eras gone by, but new music
created with the analogsounding
past melodic and production values that
so many music listeners miss
nowadays.
THE AMERICAN RELICS members are made up of
world class musicians, each with
their own amazing individual resume. Together they
are taking the music world by
storm.
Lead singer, guitarist and main songwriter John
Gitano considers himself
fortunate to have been around the music of the late
'60s. Having written a
barrage of songs (in the hundreds), he considers his
band "an ensemble of
musicians that have come together to share in the
experience of particular
related music concepts, which are, playing music
with great influences of melody,
analog-sounding recording production, harmony
and other influences from
specifically the 1960s-70s era, as well as other
eras."
Adrienne Dugger is an amazing vocalist that has
been an influential presence in
the world of opera, and has performed for 25 years
all over the planet, singing as
lead soprano in many different roles. Some of her
credits include title-role
performances at the Metropolitan Opera of New
York, and in the acclaimed
Bayreuth Festival in Germany, a cultural and artistic
high-water mark in the opera
world. She is a huge fan of rock 'n' roll
history and is a multi-octave talent who
contributes much to the band.
Other members include Nelson Montana, a multiinstrumentalist
who also
produces, arranges, performs and teaches his craft.
He has worked with artists
that include Nile Rodgers, Steve Winwood, Kim
Sozzi, Bo Diddly, and a host of
others. Ian Zane on bass has worked and performed
with artists including John
Dawson of The New Riders of the Purple Sage, who
have toured with The Grateful
Dead. Josh Salant has great knowledge of sound
engineering and drums, and Joni
Ernst is a songwriter in addition to being an
outstanding keyboardist. The band's
roster has recently expanded to include Neal Lazar,
who adds a primarily jazzoriented
guitar style (along with his good old rockn-roll
style) that fits
interestingly with the pop, rock and retro rock
sound of THE AMERICAN RELICS.
Patty Jarman, another additional new member, has
retained the personal style,
plays the guitar, and projects the wide-eyed
innocence vocally that was all once
prevalent in the late 60's-early '70's.
A beautiful living reminder of a pivotal era in
our history. Also, the vocal blend of her and
Adrienne, the professional opera
singer, is a sound to behold.
THE AMERICAN RELICS in essence are much more
than just another band, but a
team of equals composed of great musicians with
some of the most authentic and
truthful songs of yesterday which they have
catapulted into today, and into the
future. John Gitano has a way of using innocence
and vulnerability within his
lyrics. His lyrics are open for wounding, but also for
pleasure. It is difficult to have
ideas and very hard to put yourself out there,
however THE AMERICAN RELICS
succeed with flying colors . . .

Mexican Icon Gloria Trevi Reclaims Her
Career & Brings The Soundtrack of
Generaciones
To Arenas
ABOUT GLORIA TREVI
Gloria Trevi, Mexico’s white-hot, controversial rock phenomenon, burst into the spotlight and hasn’t stopped yet. A
glamorous, uninhibited Latin dynamo, she returns to the concert touring stage during 2005. She will tear up the stage
performing her own popular tunes (and possibly one or two songs by Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple or The Doors). This
multi-talented sensation not only sings, dances and plays piano, but literally sets the stage on fire with her African
drum riffs–her drumsticks are set ablaze. With her mane of dark hair, husky voice and unique dress, she is a sex
kitten one minute, an innocent street urchin the next and now a rock ‘n’ roll dynamo.
Gloria Trevi is a heroine worshiped by millions of children, teens and adults for daring to speak out honestly on
volatile topics. Her ideas challenge longstanding sexual and social taboos and are debated by the Hispanic
intelligentsia. Her outrageous exploits on stage and off are not unlike a certain material girl in the United States and
have earned her the nickname “La Atrevida” (The Bold, Insolent One). Fans imitate, besiege and venerate her. The
conservative protectors of the public good are continually shocked and outraged at her behavior and the moral
changes she represents.
Gloria Trevi’s first five records have sold more than seven million copies combined, and her first film broke all box
office records in Mexico and is the biggest moneymaker in Mexican motion-picture history. Her tongue-in cheek pinup
calendars sold over half a million copies. She regularly plays to crowds of 20,000 to 30,000 in Mexico and 10,000 to
15,000 in the United States. She has been featured in People Magazine, The New Yorker, Los Angeles Times,
Billboard, The Wall Street journal, Village Voice and on MTV.
Gloria Trevi’s Journey
Gloria Trevi was born in 1970 in Monterrey, an industrial city in northern Mexico. Her talent became apparent early.
She wrote poetry at the age of five and learned to play the piano and dance ballet. As a young teenager, Gloria left
home for Mexico City to pursue her dream of a career as an actress of dancer.
Doors did not open immediately for Gloria Trevi. Building a career, as many stars know, can be lonely and difficult for
several years. To make ends meet, she sold tacos from a makeshift stand and taught aerobics 12 hours a day. All the
while, she studied music and dancing and held tight to her dreams. In 1985, she worked briefly with an all-girl musical
group, Boquitas Pintadas (Little Colored Mouths). Finally, a well-known producer, was so impressed with her that he
helped her record an album of songs she had written.
In 1989, Ms. Trevi persuaded a Mexican record label to release that album, “Que Hago Aqui?” (“What Am I Doing
Here?”). Her first single, “Dr. Psiquiatra” (“Dr. Psychiatrist”), rose to No. 1 on the charts seven days after its release
and stayed there for 11 weeks. Four other songs quickly moved to the top of the Hit Parade.
Television and live performances increased her popularity. She became known for defying cultural stereotypes of female
submissiveness by playing the aggressor on stage and undressing hapless males from the audience. A tremendous hit with young
people, Ms. Trevi’s behavior drew scathing barbs from the conservative press and public.
Gloria Trevi’s 2nd Album “Tu Angel de la Guardia”
Her second album, “Tu Angel de la Guardia” (“Your Guardian Angel”), was released in 1991 and became an instant hit among young
and old in Latin American countries as well as the Hispanic population in the United States. A single from that album, “Pelo Suelto”
(“Loose Hair”), turned into an anthem of freedom and joy for Hispanic youth everywhere.
Pelo Suelto, a movie named after her hit song and somewhat autobiographical, broke all box-office records in 1992 and took the Latin
film industry by storm. The film’s success drew invitations to perform outside Mexico. The response from audiences was overwhelming
as thousands rushed to see their “loose hair” idol, even as the conservative public and press raged against her irreverence.
She once again astonished the Latin world with Gloria Trevi’s ’92 Calendar. Fourteen big photographs portrayed Ms. Trevi semi-nude
with her signature style–funny, provocative and yet subtly feminist. More than 300,000 copies sold out quickly in newsstands all over
Latin America.
Now a major international star, Ms. Trevi launched another successful tour throughout the U.S., Mexico, South America and the
Caribbean in 1992. Her first nightclub act was booked solid for three consecutive weeks, and stadium performances regularly packed in
audiences of 20,000 to 30,000. A crowd of 38,000 at the Vina Del Mar Festival in Chile applauded wildly to vote her the title “Lady of the
Monster” in honor of her popularity.
Gloria Trevi’s 3rd Album “Me Siento Tan Sola”
A third album, “Me Siento Tan Sola” (“I Feel So Lonely”), was recorded in Los Angeles in April of 1992. Top musicians Vinnie Colaiuta,
Sting’s drummer; Jimmie Glaser, guitarist for Jean Luc Ponte and Chic Corea; and Jimmy Johnson, Allan Hollsworth’s bass guitarist
joined Ms. Trevi in the studio. The music conveyed the feeling of rock pioneers and themes dealt with current social and political issues.
The album was released in June and has sold 800,000 copies to date. A single, “Zapatos Viejos” (“Old Shoes”) shot to the top of the
charts.
Following the song’s success, Zapatos Viejos, a comedy-drama co authored by its star, became Ms. Trevi’s second smash film. More
than 30 million adoring fans crowded cinemas to watch their favorite star.
Gloria Trevi’s ’93 Calendar, more suggestive than the first, sold 100,000 copies the first week. Over 500,000 calendars have been
distributed in the U.S. alone.
The dreams of a girl rising from obscurity three years ago have materialized into the international phenomenon of Trevimania. Gloria
Trevi is the top rock star in the Latin world and an authentic cross-over artist for the English speaking music industry. Her talent and
popularity won Ms. Trevi the prestigious “Calendario Azteca de Oro” from the Mexican Association of Press, Radio and Television, the
“Galardon a los Grandes,” the “Antorcha de Plata” from Chile’s Vina Del Mar Festival and over 70 other international awards.

Beautiful Outside
Moms Bonded By Grief
As the holiday season approached, a poignant gathering unfolded in South
Philadelphia, bringing together mothers who share a common bond of loss
due to gun violence. Moms Bonded by Grief, established in 2017 by Terrez
McCleary, serves as a sanctuary where mothers can openly express their
shared experiences without fear of judgment.
McCleary, who tragically lost her daughter in 2009, understands the depths
of anguish and bitterness that accompany such profound loss. Reflecting on
her journey of healing, she felt compelled to extend a compassionate hand
to other grieving mothers, offering solace and support through their
collective pain.
For Williesha Robinson Bethel, the group became a lifeline after losing her
son to a senseless shooting in 2018. The weekly meetings provided a safe
haven where prayers, laughter, and tears intertwined, creating a space where
understanding and empathy flourished. Bethel's decision to open WillBe's
Corner Candy Store in memory of her son stands as a testament to her
enduring love and resilience amidst profound sorrow.
Stephanie Mobley's heart-wrenching tale echoes the enduring pain of losing
her only child to gun violence 15 years ago. Despite the passage of time and
the organization's unwavering support, the ache of loss lingers like an
unyielding shadow. Through shared grief and unwavering camaraderie,
these mothers find solace in each other's presence, offering comfort that
transcends words.
While Sunday's holiday party was geared towards children, the invitation for grieving
mothers to join their weekly Zoom meetings remains steadfast. These gatherings offer
therapeutic sessions and communal events like the holiday party or the organization's annual
grief retreat, providing vital support for those navigating the tumultuous waters of loss.
In a world marked by tragedy and heartache, Moms Bonded by Grief stands as a beacon of
hope and solidarity for mothers grappling with unimaginable pain. Their message is clear:
you are not alone; we are here to uplift, support, and embrace you through the darkest of
days. For those seeking solace and connection, the group extends an open invitation to join
their compassionate community through their Facebook page or email address.
From Banjos to Ballet: Exploring the Intellectual Brilliance of Rhiannon Giddens
Rhiannon Giddens is a multifaceted artist whose journey embodies the intersection of
intellect, passion, and creativity. From her formative years as a self-proclaimed math nerd to
her groundbreaking achievements in music, history, and storytelling, Giddens has continually
defied expectations and blazed her own trail.
Her early days at Durham’s North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics saw her
immerse herself in the world of numbers and equations, earning her the title of a high school
math enthusiast. However, beneath her affinity for mathematics lay a deep-seated passion for
music and history, which would soon take center stage in her life.
Transitioning to Oberlin College and Conservatory, Giddens embarked on a journey of
musical exploration, delving into theory, history, and performance with unwavering
enthusiasm. It was here that she discovered her true calling, channeling her innate curiosity
and intellect into the realm of music.

world of music, recognizing its transformative power to transcend boundaries and
connect people from diverse backgrounds. Her decision to pursue music as a career
path marked a pivotal moment in her life, setting her on a trajectory towards greatness.
Giddens' musical influences are as diverse as her talents, drawing inspiration from the
rich tapestry of sounds that permeated her upbringing in the Piedmont region of North
Carolina. From classical compositions to blues melodies, jazz improvisations, and folk
ballads, her musical palette reflects the vibrant cultural tapestry of her surroundings.
As a founding member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, Giddens cemented her place in
the music industry, earning accolades and recognition for her unparalleled talent and
artistry. The group's Grammy Award-winning album, "Genuine Negro Jig," showcased
Giddens' ability to breathe new life into traditional folk music while honoring its rich
heritage.
Her solo career further solidified her status as a musical powerhouse, earning her
multiple Grammy nominations and critical acclaim for albums that seamlessly blend
genres and narratives. From soul-stirring ballads to foot-stomping anthems, Giddens'
music transcends boundaries, resonating with audiences around the world.
Beyond her musical pursuits, Giddens is a passionate advocate for cultural exchange and
storytelling, using her platform to shed light on often overlooked narratives and
histories. Her collaboration with the Silk Road Ensemble as Artistic Director exemplifies
her commitment to fostering dialogue and understanding through the universal
language of music.
Projects like "American Railroad" underscore Giddens' dedication to exploring the
interconnectedness of cultures and histories, weaving together disparate threads to
create a tapestry of shared experiences. Through music, she invites listeners on a
journey of discovery, challenging preconceptions and celebrating the rich diversity of
human expression.
As she continues to evolve as an artist and a storyteller, Giddens remains guided by her
insatiable curiosity and boundless creativity. With each new project, she pushes the
boundaries of artistic expression, daring to explore uncharted territory and inspire
others to do the same. In a world hungry for authenticity and meaning, Giddens stands
as a beacon of hope and inspiration, reminding us of the transformative power of music
to unite, heal, and inspire.

OVG’s Tim Leiweke, Francesca Bodie Discuss Co-op Live, Announce New London Venue
LONDON – Tim Leiweke, chairman and CEO at Oak View Group, (Pollstar parent
company) and Francesca Bodie, OVG COO, used their on-stage interview at the
International Live Music Conference (ILMC) in London on Feb. 28 to not just preview
their new Co-op Live venue in Manchester, which opens in April, but also to tease
expansion plans that include a new arena in London and one in Lagos, Nigeria.
Co-op Live, which will be the biggest indoor arena in Europe when it opens, was offered
up as proof of concept for what OVG are doing. The company’s senior execs discussed
how arenas need to be better experiences for both audiences and artists alike and also
greener, with carbon neutrality an immovable condition in their buildings.
“We can all do better,” said Bodie, addressing the whole live business. “And Transparency
is key. [Co-op Live] is not just one project. This is a core part of our DNA and we want to
make sure that we’re not only championing but challenging our industry to get better.”
LONDON – Tim Leiweke, chairman and CEO at Oak View Group, (Pollstar parent company) and
Francesca Bodie, OVG COO, used their on-stage interview at the International Live Music Conference
(ILMC) in London on Feb. 28 to not just preview their new Co-op Live venue in Manchester, which
opens in April, but also to tease expansion plans that include a new arena in London and one in Lagos,
Nigeria.
Co-op Live, which will be the biggest indoor arena in Europe when it opens, was offered up as proof of
concept for what OVG are doing. The company’s senior execs discussed how arenas need to be better
experiences for both audiences and artists alike and also greener, with carbon neutrality an immovable
condition in their buildings.
“We can all do better,” said Bodie, addressing the whole live business. “And Transparency is key. [Coop
Live] is not just one project. This is a core part of our DNA and we want to make sure that we’re not
only championing but challenging our industry to get better.”
Leiweke hailed Co-op Live as a carbon-neutral venue, citing artists like Coldplay and Billie Eilish as
voices who are setting the debate here and wanting to work with venues to achieve these goals. “We as
an industry should lead this charge and sustainability should be the cause of our lifetime in our
industry,” he said. “If three years from now there are only two carbon-neutral arenas in the world –
Co-op Live and Climate Pledge Arena [in Seattle] – we will have failed miserably.”
He added, “Sustainability cannot just be a page in a brochure.” It has to be something venue operators
strike towards rather than just talk about. “Too many people in this industry and others just make it a
page in a brochure and talk about how green they are. Bullshit!”
Leiweke and Bodie explained that they look to place new venues in areas that are either being
underserved or not being served well. They also argued that venues can become catalysts for cultural
expansion and creativity in new markets, with their planned arena in Lagos a case in point as they
believe passionately that having a major venue there can feed into and amplify the wider global
growth of Afrobeats.
At Co-op Live, Harry Styles is an equity partner and he and his team provided invaluable insight into
how the design of the venue could bring audience and performer closer. Leiweke cited a conversation
he had many years ago with Bruce Springsteen where the singer insisted that the best venues, the ones
in which he feels the closest connection with an audience, are “hot sweaty halls” and this has guided
the company’s design brief ever since.
Leiweke and Bodie told the audience they had initially hoped to book 120 nights at Co-op Live in its
first year but have already exceeded this with 180 nights now confirmed. This is part of their move to
have music treated as an “anchor tenant” in venues, the premier attraction over and above all other
entertainment forms.
“After 20 arenas that I’ve had the great privilege of being a part of, this is the best arena I’ve ever
seen,” said Leiweke. He joked Co-op Live was not set up “to challenge my ex-company”, meaning AEG
where he was President and CEO, but insisted the AO in Manchester was ripe for disruption as it was
“not a great experience” despite having some of the highest number of music bookings for any venue
globally.
“We didn’t do it out of spite,” he said of opening a challenger venue in the same city, “We did
it out of opportunity.”
Given the company has invested $500 million in the new Manchester venue, Bodie was asked
how long it would be before it turned a profit. She declined to put a date on it but confidently
stated, “It won’t take long.”
Leiweke added that, despite being told it was “impossible”, they have sold suites for $300,000
a year at the venue. “Music is a phenomenal business, but you’ve got to take risks,” he said.
“We’re pretty aggressive, we’re pretty focused and we’re very, very entrepreneurial.”
Manchester is just the first city in a bold expansion plan for the company across Europe.
Leiweke said that the west of London needs a new arena as the city could comfortably sustain
at least one more alongside Wembley Arena and the O2. He revealed the company is planning
one in the west of the city, saying the capital needs an arena that is as good as, if not better
than, Co-op Live, pointing to Sphere in Las Vegas as a symbol of what venues of the future
need to be aiming for.
“London’s the greatest market in the world for music, period, end of story,” he said to a room
full of the key live industry figures from the city. “Why don’t we build the greatest arena in
the world for London? So guess what – we’re coming.”
Artist DADA Don
What inspired you to pursue a music career?
I was inspired to do music by my father who introduced me to the industry at a young age.
Can you share a bit about your creative process when writing lyrics?
I create music mostly when I wake up at 3:00 am and my brain is at its optimum learning
state ill write my lyrics down while listening to the beat as I approach songwriting is the
same way one would approach essay writing, creating the hypothesis and expanding on it
from there.
How do you navigate the balance between staying true to yourself and meeting industry
expectations?
I have, as a Recording Artist, created my genre of Music (God Spell Trap) and by that created
a new market from my music all of this is done independently as I own all the rights to my
intellectual property as its Executive Producer and Trustee. Hence creating my own
ideology and not trying to meet anyone else's expectations except for myself.
Which artists or albums have had the biggest influence on your style?
a. Fugees: The Score
b. Damion Marley: Half Way Tree
c. Busta Rhymes
d. Lauryn Hill: Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
e. Mariah Carey: E=MC2
f. Tiger
g. Vybz Kartel
What do you think sets your music apart from others in the music scene?
The nature and composition of my music is written in allegory and it opens the mind's portal
to transcend into a higher state of being.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable moment or experience during your journey
as a rap artist?
The most memorable moment for me as an Artist was when I heard the first single that I
recorded after it was mixed and mastered.
How do you approach collaborations with other artists?
I work with those who are willing to work with me as long as their lyrical content is clean.
What message or emotion do you hope listeners take away from your music?
My message encapsulates change, freedom, and conscious upliftment for the listeners and at
times provides them with spiritual enlightenment.
How do you handle criticism or negative feedback about your work?
I am a good listener and will take advice when it is given and take the corrective steps to apply
any form of negativity or criticism positively charging it.
Can you share any insights into the significance of storytelling in rap music?
The singers and players of instruments shall go forth first and this simply means that it is
through the stories of creatives that lessons are taught or the medium through which
narratives can be changed. This is significant because it allows for physical documentation of
events and life experiences to be used as a reference for future listeners.
How important is it for you to engage with social or political issues through your music?
I leave politics to the Politicians and the social issues to the professional sociologists.
What are your goals and aspirations for your career in the rap industry?
It is my goal to be able to reach as many listeners as possible before my time expires on this
planet.

Aaron Brankin
What inspired you to pursue a career in rap music?
I discovered that music took me away from everyday life. The struggles that we go through, It
was my safe space. I, like most people, grew up with some unhappy times. Music helped that.
Be it listening to another artist or making my own.
Can you share a bit about your creative process when writing lyrics?
I try not to rush anything. If I stumble across a rhyme or wordplay, I just leave it, it’ll present
itself when its ready. I just enjoy the process. When a beat goes on I get lost in that moment.
How do you navigate the balance between staying true to yourself and meeting industry
expectations?
I think its important not to get wrapped up in what is expected. Rick Rubin talked about, “stop
writing songs for other people and start writing a song for you.” Thats where real music is
produced and staying true to yourself will show the most.
Which artists or albums have had the biggest influence on your style?
I’ve had a lot of influences along this journey. From all genres of music. From Em , The Chilli
Peppers, Johnny Cash to John Lennon. Anyone with a story I draw myself to. I love the
realness of these artists. Raw Art. I want my music to be respected just as much as they were.
What do you think sets your music apart from others in the rap scene?
I feel that I have a new sound. Together with the very talented Ryan Sewell, we’ve created
something special. Its fresh, Its an Irish-country style with upbeat dance feel. An Anthem feel
almost. Ive already turned a lot of heads with only snippets of whats to come!
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable moment or experience during your journey
as a rap artist? The moment I stepped foot in the SirriusXM building was quite an experience.
I was being interviewed, live, on Shade 45. Brushed shoulders with Steve Aoiki. I’ll never
forget that
The moment I stepped foot in the SirriusXM building was quite an experience. I was being
interviewed, live, on Shade 45. Brushed shoulders with Steve Aoiki. I’ll never forget that.
How do you approach collaborations with other artists?
Lately, Ive been working with a lot of talented producers and artists. I like connecting with
likeminded people. When someone else sees your vision it adds to the production and success
of the project.
What message or emotion do you hope listeners take away from your music?
Life experience man. I write a lot about what I’ve been through. Hoping someone can connect
to the words and music. Mental health, addiction, homelessness. Maybe someone can see it as
an outlet instead of going down any of those roads. It doesn’t have to be that way.
How do you handle criticism or negative feedback about your work?
I mean I’d be lying If I said it doesn’t fill me with resentment in that moment. But thats the
business I’m in. It comes with the territory. Its something I will continue to work on.
Can you share any insights into the significance of storytelling in rap music?
A song is like a chapter in a book. It can tell a lot about a person. Tells you the character they
play or have played. The listener can connect easier when its told like a story. Again, I keep
going back to this, its like a home away from home in that moment.
How important is it for you to engage with social or political issues through your music?
I stay away from politics. As a social aspect, I think its very important. Music brings us
together. No matter what the situation, it can help us. No matter what the mood, we can use
music as a vehicle.
What are your goals and aspirations for your career in the rap industry?
I want to create a legacy. I want people to see that no matter how bad they think their life may
be, they can turn it around. They can achieve whatever success it is they want in life. They can
overcome any obstacle and grow along the way. I was about to give up once. But Im glad I
stuck around, this is beautiful.
