AWISTA Basic principles of urban waste policy 1. Urban hygiene -> daily to weekly collection of household waste 2. No landfilling -> disposal of organic waste stopped ~30 years ago 3. Waste to energy -> íncinerator as part of the communities grid and district heating system 4. Recycling of valuables -> different collection systems accomodated to the citizen‘s needs 5.
