extra-curricular focus, and should not
be overlooked, particularly now, in our
current educational environment where
ostensibly so much emphasis is placed
on the attainment of grades alone. Whilst
these are an important stepping-stone
in a young person’s academic journey,
life and the wider world, are about far
more. In the words of the American
playwright Arthur Miller, “The mission of
the theatre ... is to change, to raise the
consciousness of people to their human
possibilities”.
