Rob started at age thirteen,
working cleanup for his father’s
construction business
and learning from the experienced
roofers, men he calls
“the great old-timers.” Now
his son, Robert Junior, works
alongside him, and Rob has
become the teacher.

“It’s because we’ve been a
part of this community for so
long,” says Rob. “At any event
in Norfolk, I always see a customer
or two, and they know
me, too. Part of my work is to
give back to the community.”

Kelli Spadea-Greene
says, “It’s important to us to
