KofC Free Throw Challenge Winners Announced<br />
Seventy-eight <strong>Holliston</strong> boys and girls recently competed in the KofC Annual Free Throw Challenge<br />
held at the <strong>Holliston</strong> High School. These talented players, all age 9 – 14, showed their talents in this<br />
local event. There was a separate category for boys and girls, and the winners were feted at an awards<br />
ceremony in late February at St Mary’s Church by the members of KofC Council 14224.<br />
The very proud winners for each category were:<br />
Girls – Age 9 – Isabelle Bartel<br />
Boys – Age 9 – Thomas Baker<br />
Girls – Age 10 – Brianna Cooper<br />
Boys – Age 10 – Declan Aldredge<br />
Girls – Age 11 – Danika doRosario<br />
Boys – Age 11 – Donovan Vail<br />
Girls – Age 12 – Olivia Yang<br />
Boys – Age 12 – Ben Furey<br />
Girls – Age 13 – Chelsea Dufault<br />
Boys – Age 13 – Christopher Baker<br />
Girls – Age 14 – Mia Faletra<br />
Boys – Age 14 – George Kuttab<br />
But this is NOT the end for these stars! They will now move on to the District Competition against<br />
Local Challenge winners from other cities and towns. And, if successful, the winners will proceed to the<br />
Regional Competition. And, finally, the Regional winners will advance to the State Finals to be held here<br />
in <strong>Holliston</strong> on <strong>April</strong> 11th. St. Mary’s KofC Youth Coordinator Don Marden, who has run this event<br />
every year <strong>Holliston</strong> has entered said “We’ve had state winners from <strong>Holliston</strong> before and we’re rooting<br />
for this year’s winners to go all the way, too! We’re very proud of them and so are their families.”<br />
