team came away the winners in overtime (score<br />

John Rogin knocked in an unassisted goal to<br />
hand the Devils thair first loss of the tournament<br />
In round-robin play earlier, the two teams had<br />
played to a 2-2 tie.<br />
Plymouth defeated Birmingham Spartan Tire B<br />
twice in the tournament, including a narrow 5-4<br />
victory in the semifinals. <strong>The</strong> earlier win sraa in<br />
the Mcond game by a 7-2 margin. Plymouth<br />
opened the tourney with a 3-1 triumph over St<br />
Clair Shores.<br />

Larry Hanbidge waan't quite •ore whether it<br />

<strong>The</strong> 40-year-old Plymouth reaident waa<br />
back in his hometown of Port Huron for the<br />
Thanksgiving holiday when an old friend asked<br />
him to play golf. <strong>The</strong> chosen course. Port Huron<br />
Golf Club, waa closed but since his friend waa a<br />
member Hanbidge waa assured it would be all<br />
right.<br />
On the 111-yard 13th hole. Hanbidge used his 9iron<br />
and put the ball into the cup. It waa the first<br />
ace of his career.<br />
But there sraa no one. other than hia playing<br />
partner, to verify it. So It may never be official —<br />
except to Hanbidge<br />
