Rhondda Heritage Park is
on the site of the former
Lewis Merthyr Colliery and
allows visitors to experience,
first-hand, what life in the
dangerous pits was like,
accompanied by former
miners who offer moving
and personal commentary.
The nearby Pit Pony
Sanctuary allows you to
meet and find out more
about the horses who
worked in the pits.
