Swimming competition
Venue
The competition will be heald in an outdoor, 8-lane, 50-meters competition pool with
anti-wave lane dividers and electronic time measurement. A second indoor pool is
available for warm up and cool-down, 6 lanes, 25-meters.
The competition will take place on Friday and Saturday from 9:30 to 13:30 and from
15:30 to 19:30 hours.
Note: the time may be due to slight change in case of unexpected events and delays during the
competition.
The 50-meters swimming pool will be available to warm up from 8:30 to 9:15 and from
13:30 to 15:15. The 25-meters swimming pool will be available during all the
competition.
There will be plenty of room for all your fans, team colleagues, and friends in the large
spectator stands. Access for spectators to the tribune of the swimming pool is free.
When not participating in an actual swimming event, all swimmers must take their
place on the tribune. It is prohibited to stay around the pool for any other person than
officials, members of the organising committee and those who are about to enter a
swimming event.
Starting Procedure
You should be at the marshalling area (starting area) three heats before the one you
are going to swim. Please keep your accreditation with you.
A one-start-procedure will be applicable. Swimmers making a false start will be
disqualified (unless this is overruled by the starter referee).
We will use the German starting method: This means you will have to stay in the water
until the next heat has started.
You have to exit the swimming pool by the sides because of the electronic equipment
Protest should be submitted to the Tournament Director. This can only happen on the
day of competition and within half an hour after the disputed event took place. In case
of dispute, the final decision of the organisation cannot be revoked
Additional information
Accreditation at the swimming pool is NOT possible. All accreditation of athletes takes
place at the official EuroGames site.
The changing room at the swimming pool does not have lockers. We kindly ask you to
bring all your personal belongings at the swimmers tribune. We strongly recommend to
leave all your valuables at home.
Snacks, food and beverages are available in the restaurant.
As the competition will be held in an outdoor pool, we recommend you to bring
protection againts the sun.
