K-8 SchoolS<br />

As part <strong>of</strong> a class project, the fifth graders at newport coast elementary school raised enough<br />

funds to adopt 9-year-old Christopher’s wish to go to Atlantis Resort to swim with dolphins.<br />

Though a partnership with several <strong>Orange</strong> <strong>County</strong> grade-schools, team kids hosted carnival<br />

events throughout the spring, raising enough funds to adopt 9-year-old Cassandra’s wish<br />

to go to Disney World.<br />

Through food-fair events and a coin drive, pioneer Middle school students raised enough<br />

funds to adopt 6-year-old Meghan’s wish to go to Hawaii.<br />

wish <strong>of</strong> a local child through their<br />

fundraising efforts last year!<br />

Students from st. angela Merici parish school adopted<br />

8-year-old David’s wish to have a shopping spree by selling<br />

<strong>Make</strong>-A-<strong>Wish</strong> stars to students, families and friends, hosting a benefit<br />

dinner at Red Brick Pizza in Brea, having a free-dress day at school and<br />

selling popsicles and hot lunch on campus.<br />

The omega chi chapter <strong>of</strong> phi gamma<br />

delta at chapman university brought in enough donations at a benefit gala to<br />

adopt two wishes, including 12-year-old Matthew’s wish to have a<br />

music-themed bedroom and 5-year-old Madeleine’s wish to go to Hawaii!<br />

There are many ways college students can get involved with the<br />

<strong>Foundation</strong> through the <strong>Wish</strong>makers On Campus program. Whether it’s<br />

hosting a fashion show, a tournament or a benefit concert, students<br />

have the ability to make an immediate, direct impact on the lives <strong>of</strong><br />

children and their families.<br />
