TBC Terminating Bias Circuit ISO Compatibility for CAN Based Vehicle Networks Powell’s Terminating Bias Circuit is a cost effective solution for providing active termination for CAN Bus vehicle networks. The TBC Terminator maintains full compatibility with ISO 11783-2 and SAE J1939 specifi cations. In some of today’s systems, termination of the CAN Bus is made inside the controller, the Powell TBC is an inexpensive alternative that provides the correct electrical bias and termination at each end of a CAN Bus segment and suppresses refl ections on the CAN Bus system.
