Areas of Service<br />
<strong>Aunt</strong> Leah’s offers four areas of support services in<br />
Metro Vancouver for youth and young moms to help them<br />
transition to independent living.<br />
HOUSING:<br />
The housing we provide consists of semi-independent living<br />
suites plus communal living for young single moms and their<br />
babies.<br />
JOB TRAINING:<br />
Job Training opportunities are available for work in restaurants<br />
and retail stores – work experience, help with resumes,<br />
interviewing and finding jobs for youth 19 and older.<br />
LIFE SKILLS TRAINING:<br />
Life skills are the basic life management skills necessary for<br />
independent living, including banking, budgeting, healthcare,<br />
laundry, cleaning, shopping and cooking.<br />
QUALITY OF LIFE OPPORTUNITIES:<br />
In addition to the necessities, we provide Quality of Life<br />
Opportunities - participation in activities that add meaning to<br />
life – personal celebrations, recreation and group outings.<br />
