<strong>White</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> Charter <strong>Township</strong><br />

Population<br />

As of the 2010 Census, the population of <strong>White</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> <strong>Township</strong> was 30,019, a 6.4%<br />

increase from the 2000 Census (28,219). Population projections created by the Southeast<br />

Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG) estimate that the population of <strong>White</strong> <strong>Lake</strong><br />

<strong>Township</strong> will only increase slightly over the next twenty years with a forecasted<br />

population of 30,811, in 2030. This projection is subject to change based on social and<br />

economic factors.<br />

Employment<br />

2005 estimates from SEMCOG show the two highest employment-sectors within the<br />

township to be Retail Trade (approximately 42% of total employment) and Education<br />

Services (approx. 20%).<br />
