ArtCamp si bez zahraničních hostů nelze představit. Letošní ročník přivítal celkem pět
hostujících lektorů – z University of Houston Clear-Lake (Texas, USA) přijela Sandria Hu
a její kolega Dion McInnis. Kurzy vedli i Andrew Au, Jennifer Purdum a Roscoe Wilson
z partnerské Miami University (Ohio, USA) a Pavel Fidermák z Justus-Liebig univerzity
v německém Giessenu.
Sandria Hu vyučuje malbu a grafické techniky. V rámci letní školy ArtCamp vedla
kurz malby v kombinaci s koláží. Účastníci si pod jejím vedením mohli vyzkoušet řadu
kombinovaných technik a najít prostřednictvím experimentů nejvhodnější materiál,
který odpovídal jejich schopnostem a zaměření. Českou republiku, resp. Československo,
navštěvuje již od roku 1986.
Dion McInnis se věnuje fotografii, je ale i spisovatelem. Ve svém kurzu zaměřeném na
digitální fotografii představil účastníkům svůj originální pohled na fotografii, kde převládá
vidění, myšlenka a inspirace nad samotným focením. Studenti prostřednictvím fotografií
vyprávěli příběh o sobě, obyvatelích a životě ve městě.
Andrew Au, Jennifer Purdum a Roscoe Wilson v rámci svého kurzu grafických
technik provázeli studenty technikami práce v oborech kamenotisku, sítotisku
a digitálního tisku podle trendu, který je aktuální v USA.
Pavel Fidermák je uznávaným umělcem v oborech designu a fotografie. Na letní škole
vyučoval kurz malby a pod jeho vedením se studenti seznámili s různými výtvarnými
materiály, učili se prostřednictvím svého díla vyjádřit náladu a atmosféru nebo různé emoce.
It is impossible to imagine ArtCamp without international guests. This year the summer
school welcomed five visiting artists - Sandria Hu and Dion McInnis arrived from the
University of Houston Clear-Lake (Texas, USA). There were also courses led by Andrew
Au, Jennifer Purdum and Roscoe Wilson from the partner Miami University (Ohio, USA)
and Pavel Fidermák from the Justus-Liebig University in Giessen, Germany.
Sandria Hu teaches painting and graphic techniques. At this year´s ArtCamp she led
a course of painting in combination with collage. Under her guidance the participants
could try a number of combined techniques and find through experiments the most
suitable material corresponding to their focus and abilities. She has been visiting
the Czech Republic, or former Czechoslovakia, since 1986.
Dion McInnis is a photographer and a writer. In his course focused on digital
photography he presented the participants with an original perspective on photography,
which is dominated by vision, idea and inspiration. Through their photographs the
students narrated stories about themselves, people and life in the city.
Andrew Au, Jennifer Purdum and Roscoe Wilson guided the participants of their
graphic techniques course through the techniques of lithography, screen printing and
digital printing - in accordance with the current trends in the United States of America.
Pavel Fidermák is a renowned artist in the field of design and photography. At the
summer school he led a painting course. Under his guidance the participants got familiar
with various materials, they learned to express a mood and atmosphere or various
emotions through their artwork.
