The Wild West company gave its exhibition
at Ypcttanti on smtnrday and
afeows at Pontiac to-day. At the time
of the collision the train, consisting
of **> wagon and stock can, four of
the shows sleeping cars and a Grand
Trunk caboose, was being transferred
from'the Michigan Central to the Detroit,
Grand Haven «V Milwaukee read.
The train waa being pushed backward
from the "Y** at the Milwaukee junction
when It was struck by as outi
going Grand Trunk freight train. The
caboose was jammed into and forced
on top of Buffalo Bills employes*
sleeper 74o. S«. which waa filled with
sleeping tent and canvas men. When
the uninjured men had recovered
from the shock the wrecked sleeper
was chopped open and the injured
gradually gotten out. The car was a
complete wreck, excepting at one end.

Detroit, July 30.—The programme
ot the twenty-first bienniai meeting
oi the supreme lodge Knights of Pythias,
and of the encampment .of the
nhiform rank of the order, to be held
n this city August 25 to September 1,
aas been completed. Maj. Gen. James
it. Carnahan, speaking of the outlook,
said:
"I am satisfied that the Detroit encampment
of the uniform rank will
be greater than any .ever held by this
order. In 'Milwaukee we had 16,000
men in camp, but my correspondence
with brigade commanders during the
past two weeks indicates, that the attendance
will go far beyond that figure."
The camp is to be located on attractive
grounds in the eastern part of the
sity, at convenient distance from Belle
isle. Field inspections. ..reviews and
Borapetitive drills will be witnessed on
the island. The city will be illuminated
and the order of Knights of
Khorassan are to give an electrical
tnd fireworks parade.

St. Joseph. July 30.—Elmer Barnes,
of St. Joseph, will- start a skunk
farm, and «s fast as the animals mature
they will be killed and sent to
market and sold for their hides. Mr.
Barnes will go .into the business on a
large scale. This will be one of the
few large skunk farms in thecoun
try, and will probably be a paying investment,
as the hide of the odoriferous
animal brings a big price from
the furriers.
