<strong>Telcordia</strong> <strong>Generic</strong> <strong>Requirements</strong>: <strong>2012</strong> <strong>Offers</strong> Issue 3, September 2011<br />

Opportunities to propose requirement changes to <strong>GR</strong>-3160. These changes will have a<br />

direct influence on data center designs and equipment deployment methods.<br />

A forum to raise, discuss, and define data center design, operation, and equipment issues<br />

via face-to-face and conference call meetings.<br />

A forum to suggest how telecommunications carriers might better change their practices<br />

and policies to improve the data center environment and equipment deployment.<br />

A forum to suggest how suppliers might change their equipment design practices to allow<br />

for easier deployment of products in the data center infrastructure.<br />

Networking with your current and potential customers, equipment engineers, and<br />

telecommunications company peers to gain a better understanding of each party’s needs<br />

and concerns.<br />

An in-depth understanding of the nature of <strong>GR</strong>-3160 requirements that can help make you<br />

an expert within your company and the industry.<br />

An Enterprise License of the newly issued <strong>GR</strong>-3160 that can be used company wide by you<br />

and your coworkers.<br />

<strong>Telcordia</strong> Invites Your Participation<br />

To proceed with this project, it is expected that <strong>Telcordia</strong> will need a minimum of four industry<br />

participants. While the project can proceed with fewer participants, deliverables may change<br />

as a result. The participating industry members will be apprised regularly of project status and<br />

any changes in deliverables.<br />

NOTE: Customers can also qualify for participation in this <strong>GR</strong> project at no cost if <strong>Telcordia</strong><br />

has realized over $40M in revenue from the Customer for the time frame of 2/1/10 - 1/31/11.<br />

A <strong>GR</strong> Participation Agreement will still need to be signed, but there will be no incremental fees<br />

for participation. This offer is applicable to this <strong>GR</strong>-3160-CORE, Issue 2, only, and is not valid<br />

on future issues of this <strong>GR</strong> or other <strong>GR</strong>s, unless specifically stated in an IFP. If you would<br />

Project Description: <strong>Telcordia</strong> proposes that selected Common Channel Signaling (CCS)/<br />

Signaling System 7 (SS7)-related <strong>GR</strong>s be updated, with industry input and participation, for<br />

release as new issues. The <strong>GR</strong> documents in this proposed project would be selected from the<br />

following:<br />

<strong>GR</strong>-82, Signaling Transfer Point (STP) <strong>Generic</strong> <strong>Requirements</strong><br />

<strong>GR</strong>-606, LSS<strong>GR</strong>: Common Channel Signaling, Section 6.5<br />

<strong>GR</strong>-1241, Supplemental Service Control Point (SCP) <strong>Generic</strong> <strong>Requirements</strong><br />
