January 5 Sacred Heart-Griffin High School Make-Up Placement Test on Saturday, January 5, 2013, to all interested
8th grade students, who were unable to make it to the first test. Test will be 8:30-11:00a.m. at SHG’s East Campus. Registration
begins at 8a.m. Students are to bring a $10 eam fee, two #2 pencils and a calculator. For more information,

January 18, 2013 EXPLORE Exam at Routt Catholic High School for all current 8th grade students. Any parent interested
in learning more about the exam or how it can benefit their student may call 243-8563 or email development @
routtcatholic.com. The results of the exam will be available and reviewed at an Open House/Preview night in March.
You are welcome to call for a tour of the school or a Shadow Day.
January 19-21, 2013 TEC (Teens Encounter Christ) weekend. This is a retreat for those who have reached their Jr.
year in H.S. or their 16th birthday. There is no school on Monday so this is a perfect opportunity to make this retreat
which is full of fun, food, faith and fellowship. Applications and information are available from Deacon Denny or Mary
Glandon. Adults are also encouraged to attend.

Former or Drifting Catholics Researchers from Benedictine University are seeking drifting and former Catholics from
our diocese to complete a brief online survey, which will help them understand why some have left or distanced themselves
from the Catholic Church.
Do you have family members, friends, co-workers or other acquaintances who are former Catholics? Please encourage

An analysis of survey responses will be made public and shared with the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois. Respondents
