MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
There are a few things that you should do before you begin to install your new
Pro-Trac 2. Read these instructions entirely before beginning installation.
The following tools are required for installation: Philips head screwdriver or electric
drill, Pliers and Adjustable Wrench.
Components: One CSA/UL approved Pro-Trac 2, One Accessory Kit and
Instructions.
IMPORTANT WARNING
Do NOT operate your Pro-Trac with the carriage
and motor facing upwards (when you take it out
of the box). The track must face down or the
chain will bind.

Your Pro-Trac 2 is shipped fully assembled.
All you have to do is mount it. If you have any
questions or service concerns, or should your Pro
Trac stop functioning properly please do NOT
start to fix it.

and workmanship for a period of two years from date of purchase. The Company’s obligation under this warranty shall
be strictly and exclusively limited to the repairing or replacing, and any such equipment and parts there of which the
Company finds to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use and service within such a period of two
years. The Company reserves the right to satisfy such obligation in full by refunding the full purchase price for any

This warranty shall not apply to this product or any part thereof which has been taken apart, damaged by accident,
abused, misused, modified, neglected, altered or misapplied and is expressly in lieu of all warranties expressed or
implied and of all other obligations or liabilities on part of the seller.
1. To mount your Pro-Trac on the
ceiling, use screws provided and be
certain the screws penetrate into the
wood and not just drywall (Fig 1A). Do
not risk having your lighting system fall.
2. In applications where a heavy load
is being tracked (multiple lamps or a
ballast lamp) we recommend using a
mounting screw in every mounting hole
(Fig 1B). If you cannot have each screw
bite securely into wood (1 inch minimum)
refer to mounting instruction #3.
3. For two point greenhouse mounting,
use strong cable and attach each end of
the Pro-Trac to the greenhouse purlins.
To increase stability and prevent side-toside
motion, attach 2 cables at the centre
of the Pro-Trac 2 forming a “V” (Fig 1C).
It is easy to rig a pulley system which can
raise and lower your entire system.
4. Hang vertical reflector lamp from
the centre hole in the carriage or from
the two outside holes (Fig 2). Targus
horizontal shades have been designed to
bolt directly onto the Pro-Trac carriage.
Make sure you leave enough cord
between the ballast and the lamp so
the Pro-Trac can move easily from end
to end without excessive side pull.
HELPFUL INFORMATION
The carriage travels from one end to
the other in approximately 8 minutes,
pausing at each end for approximately 1
minute for a uniform garden profile.
Lubricate the motor once a year by
removing the cover plate and putting a
few drops of oil (10W-30) onto the felt
pad at the front of the motor (Fig 3). If
the track stops running or gets slow, this
bearing usually is in need of a cleaning
with solvent and then re-oil.
