THURSDAY – We leave the West Country and make our way to London, stopping<br />

for coffee en route with the afternoon free for you to spend as you please…<br />

maybe shopping or a spot of sightseeing. You will also have time to enjoy an early<br />

evening meal in a restaurant of your choice before we make the short journey to<br />

the Royal Albert Hall for an enchanting evening of movie magic performed by the<br />

Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with all your favourite film themes, from box office<br />

blockbusters to timeless Hollywood classics. There will also be a special tribute<br />

to Bernard Herrmann in celebration of his centenary, featuring seminal scores<br />

from legendary films such as Citizen Kane and Taxi Driver, and from classic Alfred<br />

Hitchcock films including North by Northwest and Vertigo. After the concert we<br />

travel to our hotel.<br />

FRIDAY – After a leisurely breakfast we leave our hotel and make the short<br />

journey to Royal Windsor, with ample time to explore this picturesque town, full of<br />

so much history. You may like to visit the Castle, take an open top bus trip around<br />

Windsor & Eton where a guided commentary will explain some of the fascinating<br />

history, or enjoy a scenic boat trip along the Thames. There are also some lovely<br />

shops and many restaurants to enjoy lunch. We leave late afternoon, and make<br />

our way back to the West Country, arriving mid-evening.<br />

THE WIZARD OF OZ<br />

Developed from the ever popular 1939 MGM screenplay, The Wizard of Oz is an<br />

enchanting adaptation of the all time classic and contains all the much-loved<br />

songs from the Oscar winning movie score including; Somewhere Over the<br />

Rainbow, Follow the Yellow Brick Road, If I Only Had a Heart and We’re Off to<br />

See the Wizard. All the favourite characters and iconic moments will be there, so<br />

click your heels together and join Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Dorothy and her little<br />

dog Toto, as they journey through the magical land, helped and hindered by the<br />

Witches of Oz, to meet the Wizard and obtain their heart’s desires.<br />

A luxuriously appointed 4★ hotel, where each of the light and spacious rooms is<br />

ensuite, with satellite TV, <strong>telephone</strong>, hairdryer, trouser press, mini-bar and tea &<br />

performance of the Wizard of Oz, after which we travel to our hotel.<br />

SUNDAY – Following a leisurely English breakfast and maybe a swim in the hotel<br />

pool, we return to central London, where you will have plenty of time to spend as<br />

you please… maybe visit one of London’s many attractions, or do a spot of<br />

shopping! We leave London mid afternoon and return to the West Country, again<br />

with a comfort stop en route, arriving mid evening<br />
