News Leaders Share Insights at Georgetown McDonough Professor J. Bradford Jensen Meets With President Obama AssociAted Press On Jan. 11, Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business Professor J. Bradford Jensen(above, right) met with President Obama and Vice President Biden during the “Insourcing American Jobs” forum at the White House. Jensen, corporate executives from a range of companies, members of the Cabinet, and other senior administration officials discussed the increasing trend of insourcing and ways to encourage companies across the country to insource American jobs to help rebuild the economy. “While it is good news that American manufacturing is adding jobs, I fear the focus on manufacturing leads policymakers to overlook the potential from trade in services,” said Jensen, highlighting a key theme from his book Global Trade in Services: Fear, Facts, and Offshoring. Based on a high level of interest in the book, Jensen was invited to address the issues of global trade in services, offshoring, and the U.S. economy.
