“Where’s the ‘I’ in Occupy?” provided a platform for <strong>Georgetown</strong> <strong>University</strong> students<br />
to engage in issues of financial, political, and social inequality raised by the Occupy<br />
Movement. Dean David A. Thomas moderated the Nov. 29, 2011, discussion, which<br />
was sponsored by the Center for Business and Public Policy and the Global Social<br />
Enterprise Initiative.<br />

International USA, presented “Lessons From Doing Business in Emerging Markets:<br />
The Success of Telefonica in Latin America” as part of the Distinguished Leaders<br />
Series on Nov. 1, 2011.<br />
On Sept. 22, 2011, <strong>Georgetown</strong> <strong>University</strong>’s Center for Financial Markets and Policy<br />
and Pw C cosponsored a conference on U.S. and global financial regulatory reform.<br />
Panelists included Greg Baer, general counsel for corporate law and global regulatory<br />
affairs, JPMC; Mark Van Der Weide, senior associate director, Division of Banking<br />
Supervision and Regulation, Federal Reserve Board; Doug Roeder, managing director,<br />
Financial Services Regulatory Practice, PwC; Christopher Towe, deputy director,<br />
