Afternoon everyone and welcome back to
The Rec for 2013!
We have made progress since the last home
match against Langford, and have notched up useful
away wins at both Watchet Town and Ilminster
Town, which have elavated us to 4 th position.
Having said at the start of the season that
we would like to be in touch with the leaders at the
turn of the year, and to then push on, and lo and
behold that’s exactly where we are.
The hard work starts now if we are to
progress further, but everyone in the squad has
proved that individually and as a team we are
certainly capable, and having now seemed to have
overcome the inconsistencies which had held us
back for the past two seasons, we can look forward
to an exciting New Year.
Newy and I, along with the players, would
really like to thank the travelling supporters who

helped vocally during our win at Watchet. Our away
support has started to really grow, and if anyone
wishes to travel we are confident we can find seats
for you, particularly with plenty of away games
coming up - it makes all the difference to the

We welcome Street Reserves to the Rec this
afternoon, who have had a momentary blip in what
they will I’m sure be looking upon as a largely
successful first half to the season. In recent weeks
however they have let in quite a few goals, and we
have managed to nudge ahead of them in the table
for the first time this season..
They are sure to be smarting from last
weeks’ 4-0 defeat at Watchet, so we will need to
be on top form to claim all three points today.
