Evaluation of the SODIUM Methodology, Platform and Tools with respect to the requirements set by the Industrial Partner of the Project (ATC) 3.1 Summary of Requirements 3.1.1 Top Level Business Requirements and Assessment of Achievement upon Project end. For each of the Top Level Business Requirements set by the Industrial Partner (ATC) and presented in Deliverable D3 Part I [1], we summarise below the assessment method, executed evaluation activities and results up to M30 of the project A. Top Level Business Requirement: Employ technologies and tools for service discovery and composition that, upon the project end, are or are expected to become very soon, industry standards and thus acceptable by customers. Assessment Method � SODIUM will be presented to ATC’s customer base. A survey will be used to evaluate SODIUM platform features with respect to addressing key functional and non-functional requirements of a platform supporting the discovery, composition, and execution of services as set in D3 Part I. This is directly related to the operation of the User Forum set up by ATC in Greece and related activities are also reported in Section. 6 Related evaluation activities and results M18-M24 � SODIUM has been presented to the Chief Information Officers (CIOs) of the Fourlis Group (where ATC participates) at the end of June 2006. The session involved a presentation of the SODIUM approach in supporting SOA development and evolved into an open discussion regarding participants’ familiarity with SOA, as well as perceived benefits and problems with following such an approach. In addition, respondents were asked 1 to rate the importance of the SODIUM platform features supporting discovery and composition of heterogeneous services. The rationale for such an approach was to confirm the relevant rating of SODIUM features performed by partners as reported in Deliverable D3 Part I [1] which influences related development work. As this was the first session with these participants, reference was made only to the overall SODIUM platform features rather than detailing features of the different SODIUM tools, which would require a detailed demonstration of the tools.
