Digital Files: We are both Mac and PC based. When
sending us a file via e-mail or CD, please follow these
important instructions.
Screen Print (both spot & 4-color process) or Applique
Jobs
All files must be vector! This means that the files must be
comprised of outlines and not pixels. All lettering within
files must be converted to outlines also so as to avoid font
confusion. Acceptable file types include: ai, .plt, .cdr, pdf.,
and most .eps files.
Program Specifics:
(1) Adobe Illustrator CS3 or less vector files.
(2) CorelDraw 11 or less vector files (PC only).
(3) Photoshop CS3 files (4-color process jobs only).
(4) EPS vector files from other programs can be sent,
however they may need to be altered by one of our
graphics professionals for use. In some cases font
substitutions may be necessary.
Four Color Process Jobs: (4-color process screen-print
see specs above)
We will accept both vector and pixilated images for our
4-color process work. We can easily scale any vector files
that we receive, however when sending pixilated files
such as .jpg, .tif, .psd, or pixilated .eps files, please keep
final output quality in mind. In other words, the higher the
quality of the file, the higher quality the output image will
be. Ideal resolution would be between 150 and 200 dpi at
final output size.
Camera-Ready Art (Additional art charges may apply)
Please note that camera-ready art is NOT the ideal
choice for sending artwork and will be unacceptable in
cases of extreme amounts of detail. Digital files are the
preferred choice of art and in most cases may be the
only acceptable form of artwork. Scanning cameraready
artwork into the computer causes unwanted
changes in quality and cleanliness of images and
requires much clean up that is otherwise unnecessary
when original digital files are used.
Camera-Ready Art: A pure black image on a pure white
clear film base. The edges of the image should be clean
and crisp. No jagged edges or half-tones please. When
half-tones are necessary, films will need to be produced
which will create additional art charges. The ideal size
camera -ready art would fit on letter or legal size paper.
For a multi-color application, the art should be color
separated, (still appearing as black and white art). A color
composite of the design is also required showing the design
as it should appear when finished.
