were supported by false work until
they could be tied together by 260
feet towers; the heaviest single
crane pick was 300,000 pounds
(150 tons). There are six box trusses
172 secondary trusses, and 32
retractable roof trusses, (200+feet
in length and 14+ feet deep planar
trusses) all held together by
400,000+ bolts. The trusses will be
covered by 5,413 squares of 3 inch
type N roof deck. Derr started receiving
iron in June of 2007, erected
their fi rst piece in July of 2007,
and completed in approximately
November 2008. Derr employed
approximately 100 ironworkers on
site at the height of steel erection.

bulk of the miscellaneous iron. C.N.
Erectors of Fort Worth, Texas, erected
264 stair stringers and landings
9,250 feet of handrail and wall rail,
along with 7,875 feet of ramp rail.
They had six to eight ironworkers
for almost a year. Azteca Steel of
Dallas, Texas will install several
hundred tons of miscellaneous supports
for counters, doors, walls and
storefronts. They will install over
11,000 feet of supports for the overhead
hung suite operable glazing
system and over 23,000 feet of cable
handrails. They have ten to twelve
ironworkers on site.
