Announcing Dr. Doris Edwards, RN, Ed.D as the Winter Commencement Speaker<br />
<strong>Urbana</strong> <strong>University</strong> is happy to announce Dr. Doris Edwards, rn, Ed.D.<br />
will be the winter commencement speaker for the class of <strong>2011</strong>.<br />
Edwards’ diverse background includes:<br />
• Member of the Ohio nurses association, the Midwest nursing research<br />
Society and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for nursing<br />
• Served as an <strong>Urbana</strong> <strong>University</strong> professor of nursing and the director<br />
of the bachelor of Science in nursing Completion program at UU<br />
where she worked to establish the our bachelor of Science in nursing<br />
Completion Program in 2002.<br />
• recipient of numerous awards including the <strong>Urbana</strong> <strong>University</strong><br />
administrator Excellence award (2004), the Southwest Ohio Council<br />
for Higher Education (SOCHE) Teaching Excellence award (2004),<br />
the Ohio League for nursing 2004 Pioneer in nursing award, and the<br />
European Honor Society for nursing & Midwifery.<br />

Alumnae Kyle Wunderlich’05 Speaks at <strong>2011</strong> Convocation<br />
Find Kyle’s welcome to the class of 2015 online by<br />
visiting <strong>Urbana</strong> <strong>University</strong>’s You Tube channel.<br />
Convocation is a time to welcome incoming freshmen students and<br />
prepare them for the academic year. It includes all of the pomp and<br />
circumstance of graduation, but gives students wisdom about academic and<br />
personal success as a blue Knight. Mr. Kyle Wunderlich ’05 served as this<br />
year’s Convocation speaker.<br />
as a student, Kyle excelled in his academics and was a member of the<br />
varsity men’s soccer team. He also served as a resident assistant, and was<br />
a member of the Student Government association (SGa) and the Student<br />
activities Committee (SaC).<br />
recently, Kyle was named the general manager over a $4 million Cintas<br />
operation in Indianapolis, Indiana.
