This unique course is for interdisciplinary teams comprised of orthodontists, periodontists and restorative<br />
dentists. All too often the orthodontist and restorative dentist will share a patient with missing <strong>teeth</strong><br />
and may not be aware of the soft tissue consequences of orthodontic treatment and the implications of<br />
implant therapy/placement.<br />
The format of this course will be presentations by Dr. Pasquinelli with case reports of treated cases. Our<br />
Full FACE teaching faculty along with Dr. Pasquinelli will discuss diagnosis, treatments in the restoration<br />
of the missing and malposed <strong>teeth</strong>. Cases with long-term outcomes will be shared.<br />
Such topics as setting free gingival margins with orthodontics and/or periodontal crown lengthening of<br />
<strong>anterior</strong> <strong>teeth</strong> and the implications of crown contours and margin placement on soft tissue health and<br />
form will be discussed.<br />

Dr. Kirk Pasquinelli received his doctorate in dental surgery from the University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry and completed a general practice<br />
hospital-based residency at Mount Zion Medical Center. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry,<br />
Division of Graduate Prosthetics and has taught continuing dental education at both UCSF and the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. He is a member<br />
of the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He is a consultant for the <strong>International</strong> Journal of Periodontics and<br />
Restorative Dentistry as well as the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry.<br />

Dr. Righellis graduated from UCLA Dental School and received his orthodontic specialty certification from University of California, San Francisco. He maintains a<br />
private practice and serves as an associate clinical professor at the University of the Pacific and University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Righellis is a diplomate<br />
of the American Board of Orthodontics, is on the editorial review board for the American Journal of Orthodontics and lectures domestically and internationally on<br />
excellence in clinical orthodontics.<br />
Doug Knight, D.M.D.<br />
Louisville, Kentucky<br />
Dr. Knight received his dental degree from the University of Kentucky and was awarded a certificate in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics from New York<br />
University. Dr. Knight completed a comprehensive two-year clinical program in occlusion and orthodontics at the <strong>Roth</strong>-<strong>Williams</strong> Center for Functional Occlusion. In<br />
private practice, Dr. Knight is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, an active member of the American<br />
Association of Orthodontists, and lectures domestically and internationally on new orthodontic techniques and interdisciplinary dentistry.<br />
