The author continues her autobiography into the early 1960's--period<br />
that saw Angelou heavily involved in civil rights. She tells <strong>of</strong> her<br />
recollections <strong>of</strong> such black activists as Martin Luther King, Malcolm X,<br />
and James Baldwin and also recounts the details <strong>of</strong> her affair with<br />
South African freedom fighter Make. Sequel to Singing' and Swingin'<br />

roots. She is saddened and disillusioned by the subtle rejection <strong>of</strong><br />
