Nine decades ago the leaders of our community promised to provide
programs and services necessary to sustain the community and forge a vibrant path
toward the future for our children and grandchildren. THE ASSOCIATED: Jewish Community
Federation of Baltimore honors this commitment each and every day.
Throughout the 90th anniversary year, we’ve had the opportunity to reflect on our
progress, our challenges and our successes. This year, like all Americans, our community
has been impacted by record unemployment, bankruptcies, housing foreclosures and
hunger. This year, our Jewish brothers and sisters struggled with the on-going conflict
in the Middle East and the global community was strained by natural disasters.
And yet again, the generosity and commitment of our donors has enabled us to provide
a communal safety net, responding with immediacy and compassion to our community’s
pressing needs, and, at the same time, planning for a bright and vibrant future for
generations to come.
This year’s Honor Roll* highlights the incredible dedication of our donors in the following way:
• Annual Campaign – recognizing donors of $1,000 and more
• Resource Development – recognizing donors to programs beyond our “safety net”
• Planned Giving/Endowment – recognizing donors who have chosen to leave gifts in
perpetuity to sustain our community in the future
