Rainline specified for social housing project
Ramsey on the Isle of Man is run by the local authority; the Ramsey Town
Commissioners. This forward thinking council wanted sustainability to be a
key feature for the products specified for their housing refurbishment programme
and asked consultants Dalrymple Associates to ensure this criterion
was met. The first phase of the programme involved refurbishing 18 homes
and for the guttering and downpipes, Lindab’s Rainline was specified in
Aluzinc, supplied by Lindab distributor Celumet and installed by NK
Construction. Following the success of this project, Ramsey Town
Commissioners concluded that for the next stage of their refurbishment programme
involving 118 homes, Rainline would again be their preferred product
of choice for rainwatercontrol. Lindab and Celumet worked closely together on
the project and provided installation training for contractor Manx Glass &
Glazing. Rainline’s low carbon footprint together with its durability and longevity
ensured that the system was the correct choice for the Ramsey
Commissioners sustainability and performance requirements. Manufactured
from high quality galvanised steel, Rainline offers minimal thermal movement
and UV stability. It will not crack, fade, blister or peel, is highly resistant to corrosion
and virtually maintenance free. Available in ten high build polyester
colours, the finish of which is guaranteed for 20 years, Rainline is also available
in a natural copper finish, plain galvanised and Aluzinc.
