Cosy with a dark floor
“The colour affects the diffusion of the light and
the sense of space. A dark floor absorbs the light
and makes the room feel smaller – as well as
cosier, while a floor with lots of knots gives a
country vibe,” says Staffan Tollgard.
“Oak floors are wonderfully versatile for many
interiors as they can look so different depending
on stain, size and shape of the board as well as
character of the wood,” he adds.
